Cold with sunny spells and frequent showers with a F5 north westerly. Watches: 0730-1045.

Many obervsers were offsite attending a wedding in Norfolk, but the sightings were little effected with not a lot overall seen, though the abberant Ring Ouzel reained in its favoured area by the discovery centre. A scatter of other migrants were still about including a Woodcock, 1 Snipe, 12 Blackbird, 3 Fieldfare, 5 Redwing and 3 Siskin.

Not much happening in the F4 northwesterly, the best of the day were the 2 Siberian Chiffchaff again at the sewage works and a Snow Bunting which flew south.

Otherwise the 2 Pochard were still on Kilnsea wetlands with a Tufted duck, 3 Short-eared Owl and 104 Black-tailed Godwit.

There were decent numbers of grounded migrants present with 3 Short-eared Owl, 3 Chiffchaff, 2 Siberian Chiffchaff at Easington sewage works, 2 Goldcrest, 127 Blackbird, 4 Fieldfare, 24 Redwing, a Song Thrush, 2 Stonechat, a Grey Wagtail, 15 Pied Wagtail, 3 Meadow Pipit, 15 Chaffinch, a Brambling and 2 Siskin.

Not much on the move with a Velvet Scoter over the sea the highlight plus a Shag with 17 Siskin and a Lesser Redpoll overland.

Other bits of note were 550 Brent Geese on the Hmuber, 335 Wigeon, 3 Pintail, 2 Pochard, 4 Goldeneye and 149 Black-tailed Godwit on Kilnsea wetlands..

Snow showers with a very cold F5 north westerly.  Watches: 0730-1255.

A quiet day all round the sea maybe being the best with a Long-tailed Duck and Great Northern Diver the highlights, but only small numbers of other species were seen. Full count on Trektellen.

The best of the rest of the day included 2 Pintail, 311 Black-tailed Godwit and 6 Short-eared Owl around Kilnsea wetlands, a Little Gull at Easington playing fields, but just singles of Woodcock and Brambling.

Ringing: 3 Blackbird, 1 Brambling.

Cold damp day with a F5 north westerly. 

The best of the action was over the sea, highlights being a nice Glaucous Gull north which landed on Kilnsea wetlands and a Barnacle Goose north along with a Pintail, 9 Eider, a Red-breasted Merganser and 2 Puffin the best. Full conts on Trektellen.

Just a few grounded migrants remain with 7 Woodcock, 3 Short-eared Owl, 60 Blackbird, 6 Fieldfare, 12 Redwing, a Song Thrush and 1 Brambling.

Otherwise Kilnsea wetlands held a Pale-bellied Brent, 22 Shoveler, 4 Pintail, 2 Pochard, a Tufted Duck, 4 Goldeneye, 22 Little Grebe, 214 Black-tailed Godwit and 3 Mediterranean Gull. 

Ringing: 2 Blackbird, 1 Redwing.

Overcast with drizzle and a F3-4 north westerly.  Watches: 0715-1100.

There was a bit more movement over the sea the best of which was 4 Eider, a Goldeneye, 41 Red-throated Diver, a Great Northern Diver and 2 Shag. Full counts on Trektellen.

The white headed Ring Ouzel was still present along with a Siberian Chiffchaff, 6 Stonechat and a Black Redstart. and decent counts of 145 Black-tailed Godwit and 5 Short-eared Owl werea round Kilnsea wetlands.

Ringing: 2 Blackbird, 2 Tree Sparrow, 1 Goldfinch.

Hard frost to start, but sunny spells and a light F1-3 westerly. Watches: 0700-1000, 1345-1545.

There was not a lot happening on all fronts, the best being the white headed Ring Ouzel still in the Canal scrape area, while further migrants seen were 4 Fieldfare, 35 Backbird, a Blackcap, 5 Stonechat, 11 Chaffinch, 2 Brambling, 7 Siskin and 4 Snow Bunting.

There was limited passage over the sea the best being 14 Eider and 40 Red-throated Diver, while Kilnsea wetlands area had 25 Shoveler, 2 Pochard, a Tufted Duck, 4 Pintail and 3 Little Egret.

Ringing: 5 Blackbird, 1 Chaffinch.

A snowy start with flurries throufghout and the odd sunny spell with a F4-4 north westrly. Watches: 0700-1015.

The best of the action was over the sea, but even here it was hard going with 2 Eider, 2 Common Scoter, a female Velvet Scoter, a Red-breasted Merganser, 17 Red-throated Diver, 3 Gannet, a Great Crested Grebe, 2 Mediterranean Gull, 151 Common Gull, a Glaucous Gull, 3 Guillemot, 4 Large Auk sp and a Little Auk.

Grounded migrants continued to arrive in small numbers with a new Lesser Whitethroat, the white headed Ring Ouzel still present plus a Long-eared Owl, 1 Woodcock, a Chiffchaff, 2 Blackcap, 2 Goldcrest, 75 Blackbird, 5 Redwing, 13 Siskin and 3 Snow Bunting.

The best of Kilnsea wetlands included a Tufted Duck, 2 Pochard, 14 Pintail, 2 Goldeneye and 60 Black-tailed Godwit. 

Ringing: 1 Magpie, 12 Blackbird.

A sunny damp day with a chilly F4 north westerly. Watches: 0700-1215.

Sightings from the day included a hulk of a juvenile Glaucous Gull on Kilnsea wetlands and an adult Iceland Gull which flew down the Humber. There were af ew bits over the sea with 4 Eider, 2 Mediterranean Gull, a Great Skua, 1 Little Auk, a Puffin and 48n Large Auk sp.

A few migrants remained in the area with 5 Woodcock, a Long-eared Owl, 3 Short-eared Owl, a Siberian Chiffchaff, 1 Blackcap, 25 Blackbird, a Lesser Redpoll and 5 Siskin

The 2 Pale-bellied Brent Geese were again present on Kilnsea wetlam=nds along with 25 Shoveler, 4 Pintail, 176 Teal, a Tufted Duck, 1 Goldeneye and 110 Black-tailed Godwit.

A cold overcast day with a chilly F4 north westerly.  Watches: 0700-1200.

Similar to the previous day with the white headed Ring Ouzel still present by Canal,scrape, 2 Snow Bunting present, a Caspian Gull on Kilnsea wetlands along with 2 Pale-bellied Brent. There were less grounded migrants about with 2 Woodcock, a Siberian Chiffchaff, 3 Chiffchaff, 2 Goldcrest, 215 Blackbird, a Fieldfare, 2 Redwing, a Song Thrush, 1 Stonechat and 5 Siskin, but maybe some new arrivals for the weekend will be in the offing .

Movement over the sea was similar to the previous day with 11 Whooper Swan heading south with also 12 Eider, 2 Little Gull and a Great Skua,  Full counts on Trektellen.

Ringing: 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Wood Pigeon, 6 Blackbird, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Wren, 1 Tree Sparrow, 1 Goldfinch, 1 Siskin.
