The long bank area opposite Kilnsea wetlands to many locals has been a frustrating bit of habitat for a number of years, but a change in thinking and some great management, the YWT have created a brilliant flooded meadow along with the subsequent spectacle, attracting large amounts of Wildfowl and Waders. Migration Watches: 0745-1015.
Few observations today with the ongoing work weekend. Money raised from the Michael clegg memorial bird race went to the building of a much needed Sand Martin wall for Kilnsea wetlands and work was well underway today. A massive thanks to eveyone who donated money and hopefully in the next couple of years the wall will be flourishing with a new colony. Sand Martin have not bred in any numbers for many years, having formerly bred in decent numbers on the 'cliffs', but heavy erosion has seemingly had abig effect.

Early morning seawatching was quite productive with 2 Common Scoter, a Black-throated Diver, 66 Red-throated Diver, 1 Great Northern Diver, 2 Gannet, 1 Cormorant, 2 Kittiwake, 18 Auk sp, 1 Razorbill and 2 Guillemot.
