Overcast with drizzle and a F3-4 north westerly.  Watches: 0715-1100.

There was a bit more movement over the sea the best of which was 4 Eider, a Goldeneye, 41 Red-throated Diver, a Great Northern Diver and 2 Shag. Full counts on Trektellen.

The white headed Ring Ouzel was still present along with a Siberian Chiffchaff, 6 Stonechat and a Black Redstart. and decent counts of 145 Black-tailed Godwit and 5 Short-eared Owl werea round Kilnsea wetlands.

Ringing: 2 Blackbird, 2 Tree Sparrow, 1 Goldfinch.

Hard frost to start, but sunny spells and a light F1-3 westerly. Watches: 0700-1000, 1345-1545.

There was not a lot happening on all fronts, the best being the white headed Ring Ouzel still in the Canal scrape area, while further migrants seen were 4 Fieldfare, 35 Backbird, a Blackcap, 5 Stonechat, 11 Chaffinch, 2 Brambling, 7 Siskin and 4 Snow Bunting.

There was limited passage over the sea the best being 14 Eider and 40 Red-throated Diver, while Kilnsea wetlands area had 25 Shoveler, 2 Pochard, a Tufted Duck, 4 Pintail and 3 Little Egret.

Ringing: 5 Blackbird, 1 Chaffinch.

A snowy start with flurries throufghout and the odd sunny spell with a F4-4 north westrly. Watches: 0700-1015.

The best of the action was over the sea, but even here it was hard going with 2 Eider, 2 Common Scoter, a female Velvet Scoter, a Red-breasted Merganser, 17 Red-throated Diver, 3 Gannet, a Great Crested Grebe, 2 Mediterranean Gull, 151 Common Gull, a Glaucous Gull, 3 Guillemot, 4 Large Auk sp and a Little Auk.

Grounded migrants continued to arrive in small numbers with a new Lesser Whitethroat, the white headed Ring Ouzel still present plus a Long-eared Owl, 1 Woodcock, a Chiffchaff, 2 Blackcap, 2 Goldcrest, 75 Blackbird, 5 Redwing, 13 Siskin and 3 Snow Bunting.

The best of Kilnsea wetlands included a Tufted Duck, 2 Pochard, 14 Pintail, 2 Goldeneye and 60 Black-tailed Godwit. 

Ringing: 1 Magpie, 12 Blackbird.

A sunny damp day with a chilly F4 north westerly. Watches: 0700-1215.

Sightings from the day included a hulk of a juvenile Glaucous Gull on Kilnsea wetlands and an adult Iceland Gull which flew down the Humber. There were af ew bits over the sea with 4 Eider, 2 Mediterranean Gull, a Great Skua, 1 Little Auk, a Puffin and 48n Large Auk sp.

A few migrants remained in the area with 5 Woodcock, a Long-eared Owl, 3 Short-eared Owl, a Siberian Chiffchaff, 1 Blackcap, 25 Blackbird, a Lesser Redpoll and 5 Siskin

The 2 Pale-bellied Brent Geese were again present on Kilnsea wetlam=nds along with 25 Shoveler, 4 Pintail, 176 Teal, a Tufted Duck, 1 Goldeneye and 110 Black-tailed Godwit.

A cold overcast day with a chilly F4 north westerly.  Watches: 0700-1200.

Similar to the previous day with the white headed Ring Ouzel still present by Canal,scrape, 2 Snow Bunting present, a Caspian Gull on Kilnsea wetlands along with 2 Pale-bellied Brent. There were less grounded migrants about with 2 Woodcock, a Siberian Chiffchaff, 3 Chiffchaff, 2 Goldcrest, 215 Blackbird, a Fieldfare, 2 Redwing, a Song Thrush, 1 Stonechat and 5 Siskin, but maybe some new arrivals for the weekend will be in the offing .

Movement over the sea was similar to the previous day with 11 Whooper Swan heading south with also 12 Eider, 2 Little Gull and a Great Skua,  Full counts on Trektellen.

Ringing: 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Wood Pigeon, 6 Blackbird, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Wren, 1 Tree Sparrow, 1 Goldfinch, 1 Siskin.

A grey overcast day with a F4-3 westerly.  Watches: 0700-1000.

 A much quieter day overall, the best being an adult Iceland Gull south over the Humber with the white headed Ring Ouzel still present along the Canal, but just a single Snow Bunting present. There were few grounded migrants about with 3 Woodcock, 5 Snipe, 5 Short-eared Owl, a Chiffchaff, 2 Goldcrest, 22 Blackbird, a Fieldfare, 7 Redwing, 4 Song Thrush, 5 Stonechat, a Grey Wagtail, 18 Pied Wagtail and 37 Siskin.

Not much movement, the best were 14 Whooper Swan heading south with also 16 Eider and a Marsh Harrier. Full counts on Trektellen.

A nice sunny day with a light F2-3 westerly.  Watches: 0715-1130.

The sea was somewhat becalmed, but a few grounded migrants were still about with a Jack Snipe, 4 Woodcock, 14 Snipe, 373 Starling in/off, 25 Skylark, a Chiffchaff, 5 Goldcrest, the 'white headed; Ring Ouzel, 134 Blackbird, 3 Fieldfare, 3 Redwing, 3 Song Thrush, 2 Stonechat, 2 Grey Wagtail, 6 Rock Pipit, 4 Brambling, a Lesser Redpoll, 122 Siskin and a Snow Bunting, and still 2 Cetti's Warbler around the triangle.

The best of the sea were 276 Pink-footed Geese, 66 Eider, 58 Common Scoter, 6 Gannet and 113 Common Gull, while other sightings included 500 Lapwing at Sammy's.

Ringing: 1 Puffin, 20 Blackbird, 1 Song Thrush, 1 Greenfinch, 1 Goldfinch, 2 Siskin, 1 Lesser Redpoll, 5 Yellowhammer.

A nice sunny day with a cold F5 north easterly. watches: 0700-1300.

It was a good day over the sea once again and a bit of an arrival further enhanced the day. The sea recieved most attention with 3 Pale-bellied Brent Geese, 38 Teal, a Scaup, 22 Eider, 2 Velvet Scoter, 266 Common Scoter, 2 Velvet Scoter, a Goldeneye, 28 Red-throated Diver, 3 Great Northern Diver, 2 Manx Shearwater, 50 Gannet, 94 Cormorant, 479 Kittiwake, 3 Little Gull, 772 Common Gull, 4 Great Skua, a Pomarine Skua, 22 Little Auk, 10 Guillemot, 3 Razorbill, 119 Large Auk sp and 5 Puffin 9plus one taken into care).

Migrant totals and arrivals watched flying in/off were quite decent with a Long-eared Owl, 14 Woodcock, 9 Snipe, a Water Pipit, 2 Rock Pipit, 3 Siberian Chiffchaff, 5 Chiffchaff, a Blackcap, 6 Goldcrest, 252 Starling, 186 Blackbird, 15 Redwing, 4 Fieldfare, 10 Song Thrush, a Mistle Thrush, 3 Black Redstart, a Stonechat, 42 Siskin, 11 Brambling and 31 Snow Bunting.

Ringing: 2 Dunlin, 1 Redshank, 37 Blackbird, 2 Robin, 1 Blackcap, 2 Siskin, 1 Brambling, 4 Tree Sparrow.

Sunny spells but bitterly cold with a rain driven F5 northerly. Watches: 0700-1600.

The sea was the main focus of the day with a strong northerly driving birds into the lower north sea with 2 Shoveler, 2 Pintail, 3 Scaup, 3 Eider, 115 Common Scoter, a Long-tailed Duck, 1 Goosander, 73 Red-throated Diver, a Great Northern Diver, 1 Fulmar, 8 Sooty Shearwater, 4 Manx Shearwater, a Great Crested Grebe, 82 Gannet, 1048 Kittiwake, 265 Black-headed Gull, 7 Mediterranean Gull, 1117 Common Gull, 4 Great Skua, an Arctic Skua, 4 Little Auk, 15 Guillemot, 17 Razorbill, 521 Large Auk sp and 7 Puffin. The seawatchers also saw a Woodcock, 61 Starling, a Brambling and 1 Siskin arriving in/off.

The best of any grounded migrants included a Woodcock, 1 Siberian Chiffchaff, a Chiffchaff, 1 Blackcap, a Goldcrest, 33 Blackbird, 8 Siskin and 4 Snow Bunting recorded.

A birght sunny day with a F5 south westerly.  Watches: 0700-1305.

There was some typical late southerly movement through the YWT Warren watchpoint in the morning, the best being 594 Pink-footed Geese, a Whooper Swan, 6 Gannet, 105 Common Gull, 7 Stock Dove, 80 Wood Pigeon, 3 Swallow, 7 Chaffinch, a Twite, 317 Siskin and 4 Lapland Bunting.

There was also some typical fare for grounded birds the best nbeing 2 Bearded Tit along the canal, 16 Twite at the Warren and 2 Cetti's Warbler still residing in the triangle. There were also 3 Chiffchaff, 4 Goldcrest, 29 Redwing, a Song Thrush, 1 Brambling and 4 Snow Bunting around.

Up in the Kilnsea wetlands area there were some good sightings and totals including a Pale-bellied Brent, 215 Greylag Geese, 34 Shoveler, 4 Pintail, 1 Tufted Duck, a Goldeneye, 26 Little Grebe, 230 Lapwing, 260 Black-tailed Godwit and 3 Mediterranean Gull. 

Ringing: 1 Blackcap, 1 Tree Sparrow.

Sunny and mild with a F3 south westerly. Watches: 0700-1140.

A trickle of movement over land and sea, 481 Pink-footed Geese, 6 Whooper Swan, 3 Pintail, a Black-throated Diver, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Sparrowhawk, 113 Stock Dove, 82 Wood Pigeon, 4 Jackdaw, 47 Skylark, 550 Starling, 6 House Sparrow, 2  Alba Wagtail, 6 Meadow Pipit, 8 Chaffinch, 3 Brambling, 18 Linnet, 23 Goldfinch, 341 Siskin, 2 Snow Bunting, a Yellowhammer and 2 Reed Bunting. With each passing day there are fewer migrants to search for the best being a Woodcock, a Swallow, 4 Chiffchaff, 4 Goldcrest, 700 Starling, 55 Blackbird, 46 Fieldafre, 10 Redwing, 3 Song Thrush, a Stonechat, 2 Rock Pipit and a Brambling with a Cetti's Warbler still present in Sykes field.

The Kilnsea wetlands area still had a nice selection of species on offer, 6 Whooper Swan, 20 Shoveler, 6 Pintail, 60 Teal, a Tufted Duck, 1 Goldeneye, 5 Little Egret, 36 Lapwing, 390 Black-tailed Godwit, a Greenshank and 2 Mediterranean Gull.

Ringing: 3 Blackbird, 1 Song Thrush, 1 Redwing, 1 Goldcrest, 2 Tree Sparrow, 1 Goldfinch, 3 Siskin

Sunny spells with a F4 south westerly. Watches: 0700-1200.

The.day saw a few migrants hanging about with a Woodcock, a Siberian Chiffchaff, 3 Chiffchaff, a Blackcap, 2 Goldcrest, the funky looking Ring Ouzel, 52 Blackbird, 8 Redwing, a Song Thrush, 1 Black Redstart, a Stonechat, 1 Brambling and 12 Siskin.

Movement was generally slow with 70 Pink-footed Geese, 2 Great Northern Diver, 22 Cormorant, 41 Stock dove, a Skylark, 149 Starling, 2 Meadow Pipit, 3 Chaffinch, a Lesser Redpoll, 39 Goldfinch, 233 Siskin and 4 Reed Bunting.

Kilnsea wetlands had among all the usuals, 8 Pintail, a Tufted Duck, 30 Lapwing, 100 Black-tailed Godwit, and 12 Mediterranean Gull.

Ringing: 3 Blackbird, 1 Robin, 1 Bullfinch, 2 Goldfinch, 1 Yellowhammer.

Sunny and mild with a F5 south westerly. Watches: 0700-0900.

The day was much quieter than of late with just a few highlights including a fantastic count of 279 Cormorant at the Point, a Caspian Gull and 25 Whooper Swans on Kilnsea wetlands. The.day saw much fewer migrants about with 5 Woodcock, 2 Chiffchaff, a Blackcap, 8 Goldcrest, 82 Blackbird, 3 Fieldafre, 44 Redwing, 2 Song Thrush, 4 Stonechat and 2 Brambling.

Suprisingly very little on the move  with just 5 Whooper Swan, 11 Eider, a possible Long-tailed Skua, 55 Stock dove, 3 Jackdaw, 38 Skylark, 465 Starling, a Grey Wagtail, 4 Alba Wagtail, 5 Chaffinch, a Twite, 3 Lesser Redpoll, 15 Goldfinch, 488 Siskin, a Snow Bunting and 7 Reed Bunting.

Kilnsea wetlands was as usual busy with 30 Shoveler, 482 Wigeon, 3 Pintail, 110 Teal, 3 Little Egret, 20 Lapwing, 110 Black-tailed Godwit, a Greenshank and a Mediterranean Gull.

Ringing: 1 Wood Pigeon, 8 Blackbird, 1 Tree Sparrow, 1 Chaffinch, 2 Goldfinch, 1 Yellowhammer.

Sunny spells with a F3-4 south westerly.  Watches: 0700-1030.

The end of the autumn arrivals? saw a small influx of Passerines which included a Long-eared Owl, 5 Woodcock, 2 Siberian Chiffchaff, 3 Chiffchaff, 50 Blackbird, 107 Fieldare, 154 Redwing, 3 Song Thruish, a Black Redstart, 6 Stonechat, a Grey Wagtail, 1 Rock Pipit, 2 Brambling, 5 Lapland Bunting and a nice flock of 34 Snow Bunting by the breach.

Visisble migration has been strange at times this year, but another 912 Siskin flew south in a record autumn for them here along with 9 Stock dove, 11 Skylark, 76 Starling, 2 Hoiuse Sparrow, 5 Tree Sparrow, a Dunnock, 3 Alba Wagtail, 3 Meadow Pipit, 5 Rock Pipit, 18 Chaffinch, 27 Brambling, 5 Greenfinch, 6 Twite, 11 Linnet, 31 Goldfinch and 16 Reed Bunting. Over the sea the best were 3 Whooper Swan, 30 Teal, a Scaup, 21 Eider and a Great Northern Diver. Full counts on Trektellen.

The Egyptian Goose was still hanging out with the Greylag flock and 2 Pale-bellied Brent were nearby and good counts of 36 Shoveler and 200 Black-tailed Godwit were made on Kilnsea wetlands.

Ringing: 10 Blackbird, 1 Redwing, 1 Robin, 3 Starling, 1 Dunnock, 2 Tree Sparrow, 3 Sisikin, 1 Twite (colour ringed), 1 Yellowhammer.

A day of blue skies and sun with 2 hours of dense fog mid morning and a light westerly.  Watches: 0700-1530.

The sunny conditions continued wrecking any chances over the weekend of any decent arrivals, but some birds did drop on ahead of an arriving bank of fog. The best of the grounded migrants included a DUSKY WARBLER in Sykes field (maybe a new bird, as thought to be unringed, but views were inconclusive), a partially leucistic Ring Ouzel, 7 Woodcock, a Jack Snipe, 6 Snipe, 10 Chiffchaff, 3 Siberian Chiffchaff, 3 Blackcap, 20 Goldcrest, 150 Blackbird, 10 Fieldfare, 166 Redwing, 9 Song Thrush, 7 Rock Pipit, 16 Chaffinch, 5 Brambling, 15 Twite, 21 Siskin and 3 Lapland Bunting.

There was again a bit of movement despite the slack winds with another 664 Siskin, a ringtail Hen Harrier which headed east out to sea, a Swallow, 30 Tree Sparrow, 6 Alba Wagtail, 21 Meadow Pipit, 7 Rock Pipit, 8 Chaffinch, 6 Brambling, 6 Grenfinch, 4 Lesser Redpoll, a Snow Bunting, 13 Yellowhammer and 16 Reed Bunting, while over the sea 250 Pink-footed Geese, 110 Wigeon, 91 Teal, 24 Eider, a Great Crested Grebe, 3 Mediterranean Gull, 52 Little Gull and 80 Kittiwake. A nice sunny start to the day clouding over by early afternnion with a light F2 north easterly. Watches: 0645-1230.

The morning was rather poor with blue skies not dropping in amy overhead migrants, well not until it clouded over in the afternoon and suddenly birds began to appear. Totals for the day were 36 Woodcock, 3 Jack Snipe, a Long-eared Owl, 7 Short-eared Owl, 6 Chiffchaff, 4 Blackcap, 18 Goldcrest, 2 Ring Ouzel, 471 Blackbird, 1219 Fieldfare, 656 Redwing, 7 Song Thrush, 12 Stonechat, the Richard's Pipit still on Clubleys, 19 Brambling and 23 Snow Bunting.

On the move were 47 Eider, north over the sea, 28 Skyalrk, 19 Meadow Pipit, 12 Rock Pipit, 2 Brambling, 30 Twite, 15 Linnet, 382 Siskin and 2 Lapland Bunting.

The Egypian Goose was still present with a Caspian Gull nearby on Kilnsea wetlands.

Ringing: 1 Barn Owl, 1 Woodcock, 55 Blackbird, 4 Redwing, 1 Robin, 1 Goldcrest, 1 Blue Tit, 4 Chaffinch, 4 Brambling, 3 Siskin, 7 Goldfinch, 6 House Sparrow.

Cloudy with drizzle and a F4 north westerly.  Watches: 0700-1605.

It was a day of arrivals in/off the sea and some grounded migrants the best being a Richard's Pipit on Clubley's, a goood flock of 19 Twite at Beacon ponds, 29 Snow Bunting (21 at the breach) and a Bearded Tit in Kilksea. Totals were 12 Woodcock, a Jack Snipe, 1 Swallow, 8 Chiffchaff, a Blackcap, 7 Goldcrest, 797 Starling in/off, 75 Blackbird, 5 Fieldfare, 142 Redwing in/off, a Song Thrush, 5 Stonechat, 3 Lesser Redpoll and 14 Siskin.

The best of a quiet sea were 5 Eider, a Red-breated Merganser, 1 Great Northern Diver, 26 Kittiwake, 32 Little Gull, 5 Mediterranean Gull, a Great Skua, 3 Arctic Skua and a Puffin.

The Egyptian Goose remained on Easington striaght with 175 Greylags, while on KIlnsea wetlands 47 Shoveler, 590 Wigeon, 6 Pintail, a Tufted Duck, 2 Goldeneye, 201 Black-tailed Godwit and a Greenshank were the highlights. 

Ringing: 2 Woodcock, 8 Blackbird, 6 Redwing, 1 Tree Sparrow, 1 Bullfinch, 3 Lesser Redpoll.

Sunny spells with light rain and a F4-5 south westerly. Watches: 0650-1300.

The DUSKY WARBLER was still present elusive along the Canal, but it  was otherwise very quiet for migarnts with just 4 Woodcock, a Jack Snipe trapped in church field, 2 Chiffchaff, a Goldcrest, 42 Blackbird, 4 Fieldfare, a Song Thrush, 11 Redwing, 2 Stonechat, 703 Starling in/off, a Grey Wagtail and 18 Siskin.

Little on the move heading south with just 7 Skylark, 127 Starling, 2 Twite, 47 Siskin and 12 Snow Bunting, while over the sea a Goosander, 1 Great Northern Diver, 3 Little Gull and an Arctic Skua were the best.

Much the same by Kilnsea wetlands with the Egyptian Goose still mingling with the Greylags, 15 Whoooper Swan and 3 Pale-bellied Brents.

Ringing: 1 Jack Snipe, 8 Blackbird, 4 Redwing, 1 Siskin.

Sunny spells with a F3 south westerly  Watches: 0645-1010.

It was another day of birds on the mvoe and there was a small but notiecable in/off arrival of birds at the Warren and continuing north west. The DUSKY WARBLER was seen again and a ring was evident so  seems likey to be the bird from the 5th. Furhter migrnat totals included 29 Woodcock, 8 Snipe, a Jack Snipe, 3 Short-eared Owl, 115 Fieldafre, 62 Redwing, 67 Blackbird, 6 Song Thrush, 9 Stonechat, 39 Dunnock, 32 Pied Wagtail, a Water Pipit, a Siberian Chiffchaff, 3 Chiffchaff, 2 Blackcap, 6 Goldcrest, 87 Wren, 8 Brambling, 19 Twite and 27 Snow Bunting.

There was some decent southerly movement, but typically for the time of year diversity of species was low, but another 1104 Siskin headed south along with 40 Stock Dove, 6 Jackdaw, 3 Rook, 125 Skylark, 2 Swallow, 25 Tree Sparrow, 18 Meadow Pipit, 27 Rock Pipit, 22 Chaffinch, 10 Brambling, 16 Twite, 51 Linnet, 37 Goldfinch, a Corn Bunting, 9 Yellowhammer and 11 Reed Bunting.

There were still 14 Whooper Swan and the Egyptian Goose in the Kilnsea wetlands area along with a good total of 169 Black-tailed Godwit and 41 Shoveler. The Humber held 306 Brent geese, 3 Pale-bellied Brent, 386 Oystercatcher and 231 Bar-tailed Godwit.

Ringing: 1 Woodcock, 1 Blackbird, 1 Dunnock,1 Goldcrest, 4 Siskin, 3 Goldfinch, 26 Tree Sparrow, 1 Reed Bunting.

Light rain on and off most of the day with a light F1 north westerly. Watches: 0700-1345.

There was little change overall with decent amonts of grounded migrants and some good southerly movement mainly for Siskin, a change in the weather to a more easterly airflow is predicted for the weekend, which, may bring more Thrushes and Finches. Thee day saw another great total of 1502 Siskin recorded at Numpties, while also moving were a Short-eared Owl in/off, 5 Jackdaw, 9 Skylark, 5 Chaffinch, a Brambling and a Lapland Bunting, while the best of the sea were 9 Pintail, 3 Goldeneye, a Goosander, 3 Little Gull and 4 Little Auk. Migrants included a fine total of 24 Snow Bunting (21 at Easington lagoon), a Water Pipit on the saltmarsh, 4 Siberian Chiffchaff and 6 Twite along with 6 Woodcock, a Jack Snipe, 10 Snipe, 9 Chiffchaff, 5 Blackcap, 7 Goldcrest, 8 Rock Pipit, 28 Chaffinch, 3 Brambling, 15 Lesser Redpoll and 23 Reed Bunting and good local birds of a Treecreeper on Vicars lane and 2 Cetti's Warbler in the triangle.

It was much the same in the Kilnsea wetlands area with the Egyptian Goose and 31 Whooper Swans still present, along with420 Wigeon and a Tufted Duck.

Sunny spells with a F3-5 south westerly. Watches: 0700-1000.

There was littlle change in terms of birds arriving, and fewer grounded migrants, but a DUSKY WARBLER appeared along the Canal ( so maybe the bird from the 5th?) while other totals were 2 Woodcock, 4 Chiffchaff, a Blackcap, 3 Goldcrest, 85 Blackbird, 3 Fieldfare, 8 Redwing, 3 Song Thrush, 2 Stonechat, a Brambling and 8 Siskin. 

Not much on the move but a nice flock of 25 Twite headed south along with 30 Siskin and 5 Skylark, with the sea chipping in 12 Little Auk, 2 Eider, 2 Goldeneye, a Red-breated Merganser, 1 Goosander and a Great Northern Diver.

Up in the Kilnsea wetlands there were 17 Mute Swan, 18 Whooper Swan, 49 Shoveler, 361 Wigeon, 25 Pintail, 154 Teal, 2 Tufted Duck, a Goldeneye and 16 Little Grebe.

Ringing: 5 Blacbird, 1 Redwing, 1 Blackcap, 2 Siskin, 2 Yellowhammer.

Sunny spells with a light F2 north west - south westerly.. Watches: 0715-1020.

There was a small but decent arrival in the morning which brought the first Richard's Pipit of the autumn to the area which eventually headed off north plus another Little Bunting near the Warren gate. Totals were 2 Woodcock, a late Willow Warbler, 4 Chiffhcaff, 2 Siberian Chiffchaff, 2 Blackcap, 3 Goldcrest, 200 Blackbird, 28 Fieldfare, 166 Redwing, 5 Song Thrush, a Stonechat, 3 Rock Pipit, 15 Chaffinch, 5 Brambling, 18 Siskin and Reed Bunting.

The day saw some movement but nothing of significance the best being over the sea with 13 Whooper Swan, 2 Scaup, 3 Eider, 7 Goldeneye, a Great Northern Diver, 2 Sooty Shearwater, a Manx Shearwater, a Shag and 3 Little Auk, while overland a Hen Harrier, 27 Stock Dove, 18 Skylark, a Jay, 1 Swallow, 2 Grey Wagtail, a Water Pipit and 144 Siskin.

Up in the Kilnsea wetlands area there were still 18 Whooper Swan, an Egyptian Goose, 31 Shoveler and 16 Pintail among all the usuals.

Ringing: 16 Blackbird, 5 Redwing, 1 Wren, 1 Dunnock, 1 Starling, 1 Goldcrest, 1 Long-tailed Tit, 1 Lesser Redpoll, 4 Siskin, 9 Tree Sparrow, 1 House Sparrow, 1 Reed Bunting. (42 of 12 species).

A day of strong winds made life difficult, but even still some birds were arriving in/off, though southbound movement was almost non existent. The few grounded migrants about included a Woodcock, 8 Short-eared Owl, 5 Chiffchaff, a Siberian Chiffchaff, 2 Blackcap, 4 Goldcrest, 120 Blackbird, 1 Fieldfare in, 37 Redwing (17 in), a Song Thrush, 1 Mistle Thrush, a Stonechat, 2 Rock Pipit, 3 Brambling and  22 Siskin.

The best of any movement saw 7 Whooper Swan, a Tufted Duck, 1 Goosander, a Marsh Harrier, 1 Hen Harrier,37 Stiock Dove, 2 Rook, 6 Jackdaw, a Swallow, 1 House Martin, 32 Skylark, 6 Rock Pipit and 35 Siskin recorded, while over the sea 137 Gannet, a Tufted Duck, 4 Pintail, 5 Eider, 1 Goosander, 16 Little Gull and a Mediterranean Gull. 

Up in the Kilnsea wetlands area the 2 Egyptian Geese, 29 Whooper Swan and 3 Pale-bellied Brent among 350 Brent Geese.

Ringing: 7 Blackbird, 1 Blackcap, 1 Chaffinch, 2 Siskin.

Cloudy with sunny periods and a cool F4-6 south westerly.  Watches: 0650-1345.

It was decent day for birds on the move, though little diversity overall the best being 2 Water Pipit and a good total of 1221 Siskin heading south plus 7 Stock Dove, 4 Jackdaw, 12 Skylark, 75 Starling, 2 Mistle Thrush, an Alba Wagtail, 9 Meadow Pipit, 10 Rock Pipit, 13 Chaffinch, 4 Brambling, 2 Greenfinch, 73 Linnet, 3 Twite, 4 Redpoll, 10 Goldfinch and 6 Reed Bunting, while the best over the sea  were 313 Pink-footed Geese, 28 Whooper Swan, 4 Pintail, 10 Eider and a Goosander.20 Siskin, 

It was difficult looking for migrants in the strong blustery wind the best being a Red-breasted Flycatcher found late on in Canal hedge, (which will be looked for in the morning) plus 4 Woodcock, 7 Snipe in/off, a Short-eared Owl in/off, 3 Chiffchaff, 2 Siberian Chiffchaff, 2 Blackcap, 4 Goldcrest, a Ring Ouzel, 106 Blackbird, 7 Fieldfare, 20 Redwing, a Black Redstart, 5 Stonechat, a Wheatear, 6 Brambling and 3 Snow Bunting with a Cetti's Warbler at Wire dump.

There are now 2 Egyptian Geese on Easington straight along with 29 Whooper Swan with around 1000 Pink-footed Geese dropping in to roost.om Kilnsea wetlands .

Ringing: 11 Blackbird, 1 Redwing, 1 Blackcap, 1 Goldcrest, 2 Siskin, 1 Lesser Redpoll.

Bright, sunny and mild with a F4 westerly. Watches: 0700-1000.

It was another decent day, the highlight a DUSKY WARBLER trapped in Church field, where it showed on and off, while again there was some decent totals of grounded migrants and arrivals in/off, 8 Woodcock, a Jack Snipe, 7 Short-eared Owl in/off, a Jay, 139 Starling, 337 Blackbird, 413 Fieldfare, 447 Redwing, 8 Song Thrush, 1 Black Redstart, a late Wheatear, 5 Stonechat, 1 Water Pipit, 2 Siberian Chiffchaff, 6 Chiffchaff, 5 Blackcap, 16 Goldcrest, 26 Chaffinch, 12 Brambling, 16 Twite, 476 Siskin, 6 Snow Bunting and 2 Lapland Bunting.

There was some movement over the sea the best being 121 Pink-footed Geese, 7 Pintail, 68 Eider, 124 Common Scoter, a Goldeneye, 10 Red-breasted Merganser and 2 Little Auk. Full counts on Trektellen.

The Egyptian Goose appeared again on Easington straight among the 15 Whooper Swan with Kilnsea wetlands hosting 47 Shoveler, 9 Pintail, a Tufted Duck, 60 Black-tailed Godwit, a Purple Sandpiper, 350 Redshank and a Spotted Redshank.

Ringing: 49 Blackbird, 10 Redwing, 1 Robin, 4 Wren, 1 Dusky Warbler, 1 Chiffchaff, 3 Goldcrest, 5 Long-tailed Tit, 2 Brambling, 1 Greenfinch, 1 Goldfinch, 2 Linnet, 1 Chaffinch, 5 Lesser Redpoll, 14 Tree Sparrow.

Showers with sunny spells with a cool F6 northerly. Watches: 0645-1710.

It was another great varied day despite numbers being somewhat less spectacular, but totals overall for arrivals and grounded migrants made good reading with 9 Woodcock, 2 Jack Snipe, 6 Snipe, 2 Long-eared Owl, a Short-eared Owl, 167 Starling in/off, 707 Blackbird, 339 Fieldfare, 390 Redwing, 4 Song Thrush, a Mistle Thrush, 1 Stonechat, 8 Chiffchaff, 2 Siberian Chiffchaff, 6 Blackcap, 11 Goldcrest, 50 Brambling, 7 Twite, 82 Siskin and 14 Snow Bunting.

Over the sea the best were 9 Whooper Swan, 19 Pintail, 12 Eider, 3 Goldeneye. a Great Northern Diver, 57 Kittiwake, 5 Little Gull, 4 Great Skua, an Arctic Skua, 3 Little Auk and a Puffin, while overland a Red Kite headed south. Full counts on Trektellen.

There were 2 Caspian Gull on offer at Kilnsea wetlands where 13 Whooper Swan were still present.

A day of heavy showers interpersed with sunny spells and a F3 south easterly-F5 north. Watches: 0700-1720.

It was a great day for arrivals off the sea and grounded migrants with finally some good toatls of Fieldfare and Blackbirds, but overall a nice mixed selection of species. Final totals were 34 Woodcock,(26 in/off) 5 Jack Snipe, 22 Snipe in/off, a Long-eared Owl, 2412 Blackbird, 643 Fieldfare, 9504 Redwing, 3 Ring Ouzel, 8 Song Thrush, 4 Mistle Thrush, 532 Starling in/off, a Black Redstart, 6 Chiffchaff, 9 Goldcrest, 231 Chaffinch, 166 Brambling, 225 Siskin, 20 Lesser Reddpoll and a Snow Bunting.

Birds on the move over the sea included 75 Teal, 3 Eider, a Red-breasted Merganser, a Great Northern Diver, 1 Sooty Shearwater, 16 Kittiwake, 3 Great Skua and 47 Arctic Skua, while an Egyptian Goose flew west at Sammy's.

The Kilnsea wetlands area waas again buzzing with life including 23 Whooper Swan, 3 Pintail, a Greenshank, 9 Short-eared Owl and the evening arrival of 1400 Pink-footed Geese among all the totals of the usual species. Full counts on Trektellen.

A bright and sunny day with a F3 south westerly.  Watches: 0640-1200.

It was a nvie varied day of movement over land and sea, a good scatter of grounded migrants and as suaul Kilnsea wetlands had a good selection on offer. The highlight for the vismiggers were 2 Tundra Bean Geese heading south along with 37 Whooper Swan, a Great White Egret north west, 6 Bearded Tit which started at Sykes field and a Lapland Bunting. Also recorded were a Harrier sp, 35 Stock Dove, 610 Wood Pigeon, 14 Jackdaw, 40 Rook, 184 Skylark, 5 Swallow, 25 House Sparrow, 110 Tree Sparrow, 3 Grey Wagtail, 2 Alba Wagtail, 26 Meadow Pipit, 3 Rock Pipit, 23 Chaffinch, 13 Brambling, a Bullfinch, 2 Greenfinch, 12 Lesser Redpoll, 297 Siskin, 7 Snow Bunting and 15 Reed Bunting.

It was a better day searching for grounded migrants with 6 Woodcock, 2 Jack Snipe, a Jay, 1 Coal Tit, 2 House Martin, 10 Chiffchaff, 3 Blackcap, 13 Goldcrest, 130 Blackbird, 4 Fieldfare, 63 Redwing, 11 Song Thrush, a Mistle Thrush, 14 Robin, 5 Black Redstart, 15 Stonechat, a Wheatear, 2 Grey Wagtail, 83 Chaffinch, 17 Brambling, 20 Lesser Redpoll, 51 Siskin and 12 Reed Bunting.

The best of the Kilnsea wetlands area were an Egyptian Goose which then wandered the area, 1400 Pink-footed Geese, 22 Whooper Swan, 10 Pintail, 70 Black-tailed Godwit and 2 Spotted Redshank, while 5 Short-eared Owl hunted around Beacon ponds. Along the peninsula a Purple Sandpiper was at the Narrows and 2 Pale-bellied Brent were present among the Brent flock.

A blustery day afternoon rain and a F6 south westerly. Watches: 0645-1230.

It was another good varied day with grounded migrants, a busy Kilnsea wetlands and birds heading south. On the migrant front the best was a late Willow Warbler on Beacon lane, the Water Pipit again at the Warren, 2 Black Redstart in Kilnsea, a Ring Ouzel and 5 Snow Bunting. Further totals were 2 Chiffchaff, 10 Goldcrest, 42 Blackbird, a Fieldfare, 15 Redwing, 2 Song Thrush, a Stonechat, 5 Meadow Pipit, 2 Rock Pipit, 39 Chaffinch, 6 Brambling, a Lesser Redpoll and 22 Siskin.

The vismiggers had a decent morning despite the weather with a nice grey male Hen Harrier and another 582 Siskin heading south, along with 12 Skylark, a Swallow, 135 Starling, 4 Meadow Pipit, 10 Rock Pipit, 26 Chaffinch, 6 Brambling, 66 Linnet, 35 Goldfinch and 5 Reed Bunting, while the sea was quiet the best being 2 Eider, 2 Goldeneye and a Great Crested Grebe. 

The highlight s from the Kilnsea wetlands area included 500 Pink-footed Geese, 24 Whooper Swan, a Tufted Duck, 2 Marsh Harrier, 2 Spotted Redshank, 2 Mediterranean Gull and a Caspian Gull, while on the Humber 91 Cormorant were at the Point ad 2 Pale-bellied Brent were among the 300 Dark-bellied Brents present. 

Ringing: 3 Blackbird, 21 Chaffinch, 1 Greenfinch, 2 Goldfinch, 1 Siskin.
