Overcast drizzle and a F4 northerly. Watches: 0600-1815.

The sea continued to be decent with a nice selection of species including 45 Teal, 2 Velvet Scoter, 103 Common Scoter, 8 Red-throated Diver, 5 Fulmar, 5 Sooty Shearwater, 4 Manx Shearwater, a Balearic Shearwater, 101 Gannet, 5 Purple Sandpiper, 16 Kittiwake, 2 Little Gull, 774 Common Tern, 4 Great Skua, 6 Pomarine Skua, 15 Arctic Skua, 2 Long-tailed Skua and 2 Puffin.

There was no sign of the Barred Warbler, but a Cetti’s Warbler at the Point was noteworthy along with totals of 26 Willow Warbler, 3 Reed Warbler, 3 Blackcap, 5 Garden Warbler, 5 Lesser Whitethroat, 18 Whitethroat, 2 Spotted Flycatcher, 23 Pied Flycatcher, 3 Redstart, 9 Whinchat, 9 Wheatear, a Tree Pipit and 19 Yellow Wagtail recorded in the area.

Kilnsea wetlands held all the usuals plus, 14 Wigeon, 6 Pintail, 97 Teal, 11 Little Egret , a Little-ringed Plover, 7 Black-tailed Godwit, 14 Ruff, 3 Curlew Sandpiper, 5 Common Sandpiper, a Green Sandpiper, 2 Little Stint, 3 Spotted Redshank, 10 Greenshank, a Caspian Gull..

Ringing: 1 Willow Warbler, 1 Blackbird, 1 Robin

Sunny spells with drizzle and a F4 northerly. Watches: 0600-1145.

Good number of migrants were again present with both the Barred Warbler still by Rose cottage and the Wood Warbler at Sammy’s,, while small increases were evident with 29 Willow Warbler, 4 Chiffchaff, 4 Reed Warbler, a Blackcap, 5 Garden Warbler, 3 Lesser Whitethroat, 20 Whitethroat, 9 Spotted Flycatcher, 22 Pied Flycatcher, 5 Whinchat, 3 Wheatear, a Tree Pipit and 6 Yellow Wagtail.

The sea yet again had a bit of  movement with a few bits of interest thrown in too, a Long-tailed Skua continued to linger offshore plus 56 Teal, 76 Common Scoter, 6 Red-throated Diver, 12 Fulmar, a Sooty Shearwater, 112 Gannet, 13 Kittiwake, 256 Common Tern, 2 Great Skua, a Pomarine Skua, 5 Arctic Skua and 4 Puffin.

Kilnsea wetlands held, 9 Wigeon, 11 Pintail, 56 Teal, 24 Little Egret , a Little-ringed Plover, 5 Black-tailed Godwit, 12 Ruff, 7 Curlew Sandpiper (4 Warren), 2 Little Stint, a Common Sandpiper, 200 Redshank, 2 Spotted Redshank, 16 Greenshank, 69 Mediterranean Gull and 2 Hobby. The Humber held 510 Ringed Plover, 2000 Golden Plover, 271 Sanderling, 2000 Dunlin and a Purple Sandpiper, 

Ringing: 2 Starling, 1 Wren, 2 Robin, 5 Willow Warbler, 1 Sedge Warbler, 3 Whitethroat, 4 Pied Flycatcher, 1 Goldfinch, 2 House Sparrow.

A cloudy day with sunny spells and a F4-2 northerly. Watches: 0650-1150.

Not a lot happening over the sea, the best being a Long-tailed Skua lingering offshore, then drifted south along with 4 Teal, 9 Common Scoter, 4 Red-throated Diver, 4 Fulmar, a Manx Shearwater, 45 Gannet, 7 Oystercatcher, 7 Kittiwake, a Little Tern, 1927 Common Tern, 2 Great Skua and 6 Arctic Skua.

Little change overall for grounded migrants,a Wood Warbler showing well at Sammy's the most noticeable new arrival and 2 Barred Warbler remained (chalk bank, corner field), plus 21 Willow Warbler, 5 Reed Warbler, 2 Garden Warbler, 7 Lesser Whitethroat, 10 Whitethroat, 1 Spotted Flycatcher, 3 Pied Flycatcher, a Stonechat, 3 Wheatear and 21 Yellow Wagtail.

Kilnsea wetlands kept its place being brilliant for Waders, 16 Wigeon, 8 Pintail, 35 Teal, 52 Little Egret, a Little-ringed Plover, 11 Black-tailed Godwit, 12 Ruff, a Purple Sandpiper, 2 Little Stint, a Common Sandpiper, 200 Redshank, 3 juvenile Spotted Redshank, 17 Greenshank, a Yellow-legged Gull and a Hobby.

Also of interest a female Wasp Spider in Easington was a first for Spurn and maybe Yorkshire.

Ringing: 1 Blackbird, 2 Starling, 1 Wren, 4 Willow Warbler, 1 Whitethroat, 3 Great Tit, 1 Blue Tit, 12 Goldfinch, 1 House Sparrow, 9 Tree Sparrow.

Sunny spells with a F2 northerly. Watches: 0605-1105.

The ringed Barred Warbler remained between Rose cottage and sykes field, while decent numbers of migrants are still present scattered throughout the area, 32 Willow Warbler, 3 Reed Warbler, a Blackcap, 7 Garden Warbler, 8 Lesser Whitethroat, 11 Whitethroat, a Goldcrest, 7 Spotted Flycatcher, 7 Pied Flycatcher, 8 Redstart, a Whinchat, 1 Wheatear, a Tree Pipit, 1 White Wagtail and 7 Yellow Wagtail.

The sea was very quiet with the odd decent bird, 5 Teal, 31 Common Scoter, 4 Fulmar, 4 Sooty Shearwater, 46 Gannet, a Little Gull, 1 Pomarine Skua, 8 Arctic Skua and 2 Puffin.

Kilnsea wetlands continued its good form with 12 Wigeon, 8 Pintail, 41 Teal, 27 Little Egret , 10 Black-tailed Godwit, 14 Ruff, 2 Curlew Sandpiper, 2 Common Sandpiper, a Green Sandpiper, 2 Little Stint, 300 Redshank, a Spotted Redshank and 39 Greenshank, while Merlin and Hobby both hunted the area.

Ringing: 2 Willow Warbler, 1 Garden Warbler, 2 Reed Warbler, 2 Sedge Warbler, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Whitethroat, 1 Blackbird, 1 Robin, 18 Tree Sparrow.

An overcast day with a chilly F3 north easterly. Watches:0600-1130.

The decent period for grounded migrant continues with 3 Barred Warbler in the area (trapped at Kew, Chalk bank, Easington) and a showy Wryneck at Chapel cottage. Further migrants  totals were 27 Willow Warbler, 8 Blackcap, 2 Garden Warbler, 4 Lesser Whitethroat, 17 Whitethroat, a Song Thrush, 1 Spotted Flycatcher, 9 Pied Flycatcher, 4 Redstart, 2 Whinchat, 2 Wheatear, 4 Tree Pipit and 8 Yellow Wagtail.

A quieter day over the sea with just 23 Teal, 41 Common Scoter, 11 Red-throated Diver, 19 Fulmar, 7 Sooty Shearwater, a Balearic Shearwater, 172 Gannet, 9 Oystercatcher, a Little-ringed Plover, 32 Kittiwake, 6 Little Gull, 6 Great Skua, 17 Arctic Skua and a Puffin.

Kilnsea wetlands held all the usuals, plus some other decent bits, 9 Wigeon, 5 Pintail, 2 Curlew Sandpiper, 2 Little Stint, a Green Sandpiper, 300 Redshank, a Spotted Redshank, 27 Greenshank and a Caspian Gull.

Ringing: 2 Wood Pigeon, 1 Swallow, 2 Sand Martin, 6 Willow Warbler, 2 Whitethroat, 1 Barred Warbler, 2 Sedge Warbler, 13 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Wren, 1 Dunnock, 1 House Sparrow.

An overcast day with a chilly F3 north easterly. Watches: 0545-1625.

Many observers rushed off to Blacktoft for the Lapwing, but for those that remained, the conditions made a look at the sea worthwhile, a Sabines Gull north the highlight, along with a fine total of 39 Sooty Shearwater and a Long-tailed Skua plus 2 Wigeon, 21 Teal, 29 Common Scoter, 2 Red-throated Diver, 23 Fulmar, 15 Manx Shearwater, 58 Gannet, a Shag, 118 Oystercatcher, 3 Grey Plover, a Whimbrel, 15 Kittiwake, 6 Little Gull, 18 Great Skua, 50 Arctic Skua and 5 Puffin. An Osprey also headed southeast, out over the sea.

There was no sign of the Greenish Warbler, but a new Barred Warbler was found at Chalk bank, with not much in the way of other migrants either, 6 Willow Warbler, a Cetti’s Warbler, 4 Lesser Whitethroat, 15 Whitethroat, a Song Thrush, 1 Spotted Flycatcher, 4 Pied Flycatcher, 3 Whinchat, a Wheatear and 3 Yellow Wagtail.

Kilnsea wetlands held, 3 Wigeon, 2 Pintail, 6 Black-tailed Godwit, 15 Ruff, a Curlew Sandpiper, 650 Redshank, 27 Greenshank, 60 Mediterranean Gull and a Caspian Gull.

Ringing: 3 Mute Swan, 1 Blackbird, 1 Willow Warbler, 1 Whitethroat, 4 Yellow Wagtail, 11 House Sparrow, 1 Tree Sparrow, 1 Reed Bunting.

Overcast with sunny spells and a F4-5 north westerly.  Watches: 0600-1230.

The Greenish Warbler remained on Beacon Lane, where a Wryneck was found (maybe yesterdays bird from Chalkies?) and 2 Barred Warbler were along the road between Sykes field and Rose cottage. Low numbers other grounded migrants though, 20 Willow Warbler, 2 Blackcap, 2 Garden Warbler, 8 Lesser Whitethroat, 27 Whitethroat, a Pied Flycatcher, 1 Redstart, 4 Whinchat, a Wheatear, 8 Yellow Wagtail and a White Wagtail.

Up the road at Kilnsea wetlands a brilliant count of 45 Greenshank with a Curlew Sandpiper and Caspian Gull for company, plus 2 Little-ringed Plover, 9 Black-tailed Godwit, 13 Ruff, a Common Sandpiper, 2 Green Sandpiper, 450 Redshank and 70 Mediterranean Gull.

Quiet over the sea, 2 Teal, 29 Common Scoter, 5 Red-throated Diver, 14 Fulmar, 128 Gannet, a Shag, 2 Oystercatcher, 2 Turnstone, 6 Sanderling, 5 Dunlin, a Snipe, 17 Little Gull, 2 Great Skua, 12 Arctic Skua and 2 Puffin.

A Death's-head Hawkmoth was trapped overnight in Easington and shown at the Obs, with thanks to Mick and Martin Stoyle.

Another warm sunny day with a F2 north easterly. Watches: 0610-0925, 1715-1945.

There were a few new arrivals, the sunny conditions did not allow for any sort of ‘fall’, but the first Wryneck of the autumn was at Chalky point and likewise a Barred Warbler on Beacon lane, where the GREENISH WARBLER remained all day, occasionally showing well. Other grounded migrant totals were 15 Willow Warbler, 5 Reed Warbler, a Blackcap, 4 Garden Warbler, 8 Lesser Whitethroat, 19 Whitethroat, 2 Song Thrush, a Spotted Flycatcher, 7 Pied Flycatcher, 3 Redstart, 2 Whinchat, a Stonechat, 1 Redstart, 11 Wheatear and 10 Yellow Wagtail.

Maybe the same Cory’s Shearwater headed south again this evening, while also moving, 11 Shelduck, 60 Teal, 34 Common Scoter, 3 Red-throated Diver, 5 Fulmar, 2 Sooty Shearwater, 2 Manx Shearwater, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 71 Gannet, 16 Oystercatcher, 1 Little Gull, 3 Great Skua, 6 Arctic Skua, a Long-tailed Skua and a Puffin, but quiet overland with just a Marsh Harrier, 1 Hobby and 15 Yellow Wagtail.

A warm sunny day with a F3 north easterly. Watches: 055-1145.

There was a big clear out of migrants, good feeding conditions during the day, followed by overnight clear skies helped them continue their migration. While this was true for most species, it appeared that there are now 2 GREENISH WARBLER in the area with the Beacon lane bird still present on and off during the day, and another at Canal scrape carpark, which moved north west up the canal to Chapel cottage. Other totals were a Cetti’s Warbler along the canal, 36 Willow Warbler, 7 Reed Warbler, a Blackcap, 3 Garden Warbler, 21 Whitethroat, a Treecreeper, a Song Thrush, 3 Spotted Flycatcher, 7 Pied Flycatcher, 4 Redstart, 3 Whinchat, a Stonechat, 1 Redstart, a Wheatear, 1 Tree Pipit and 40 Yellow Wagtail.

All the usuals were still on Kilnsea wetlands, but still good numbers and good species present, 125 Mallard, a Pintail, 60 Teal, 53 Little Egret, a Little-ringed Plover, 17 Black-tailed Godwit, 15 Ruff, 2 Curlew Sandpiper, a Little Stint, a Common Sandpiper, 400 Redshank, a Spotted Redshank, 38 Greenshank, 4 Little Gull and 81 Mediterranean Gull.

It had been strange over the sea, with no big numbers, but another? Cory’s Shearwater headed south past the seawatch hide, while also moving, 10 Teal, a Tufted Duck, 113 Common Scoter, 3 Red-throated Diver, 7 Fulmar, 8 Manx Shearwater, 98 Gannet, 156 Oystercatcher, 22 Whimbrel, 4 Knot, 27 Sanderling, a Green Sandpiper, 4 Redshank, 16 Little Gull, 4 Great Skua, a Pomarine Skua, 29 Arctic Skua and 2 Puffin, while conditions still not great for overland movement,  2 Sand Martin, 167 Swallow, 11 Meadow Pipit, a Tree Pipit, 1 Greenfinch and a Yellowhammer.

Ringing: 5 Swallow, 7 Sand Martin, 1 Treecreeper, 2 Wren, 9 Willow Warbler, 5 Whitethroat, 1 Garden Warbler, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 3 Sedge Warbler, 7 Reed Warbler, 10 Starling, 6 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Linnet, 1 Goldfinch, 3 House Sparrow, 7 Tree Sparrow.

Early morning drizzle cleared to a warm sunny day with a F3 north easterly. Watches: 0550-2000.

Once the rain stopped it was evident there was a decent arrival of migrants, the highlight being a vocal GREENISH WARBLER found on Beacon lane, continuing the recent good few years for this species. Other totals were a Cuckoo, a Short-eared Owl, 2 Cetti’s Warbler (Sammy’s and Sykes field), 55 Willow Warbler, a Wood Warbler by the gas terminal, 9 Reed Warbler, 5 Blackcap, 7 Garden Warbler, 32 Whitethroat, 3 Song Thrush, 2 Spotted Flycatcher, a good total of 45 Pied Flycatcher, 4 Redstart, 7 Whinchat, 6 Wheatear, a Tree Pipit, 2 Rock Pipit and 6 Yellow Wagtail.

Kilnsea wetlands was again particularly good for Waders, with a Tufted Duck, 13 Ruff, 2 Curlew Sandpiper, 3 juvenile Little Stint, a Common Sandpiper, 4 Green Sandpiper, a Spotted Redshank, 40 Greenshank and 2 Caspian Gull. During the WEBS count 1109 Ringed Plover, breaking the record for the secoind day in a row, a Purple Sandpiper was on rocks by the Bluebell, while on Canal scrape a Merlin continued to hunt Dragonflies and the family party of 4 Water Rail was still showing well.

The vis-miggers also noted some slight Wader movement, but hard wotrk otherwise, 105 Teal, a Velvet Scoter, 139 Common Scoter, a Red-throated Diver, a Fulmar, 49 Gannet, 73 Oystercatcher, 4 Whimbrel, a Bar-tailed Godwit, 7 Ruff, 11 Sanderling, 5 Snipe, 4 Green Sandpiper, 11 Greenshank, 4 Little Gull, a Great Skua and 14 Arctic Skua, with just a trickle overland involving a Cuckoo, 1 Hobby, 40 Tree Sparrow, 12 Meadow Pipit and a Tree Pipit.

Ringing: 2 Redstart, 1 Spotted Flycatcher, 4 Pied Flycatcher, 4 Swallow, 4 Sand Martin, 2 Dunnock, 4 Starling, 1 Great Tit, 7 Willow Warbler, 7 Whitethroat, 4 Garden Warbler, 1 Reed Warbler, 1 Robin, 1 Wheatear, 1 Tree Pipit, 3 Goldfinch, 2 House Sparrow.

Cloudy with a F1-2 south easterly. Watches: 0615-1100.
Grounded migrants were the order of the day with Wood Warbler in Easington and a decent total of 13 Pied Flycatcher in the area. Further totals included 74 Willow Warbler, 9 Sedge Warbler, a Grasshopper Warbler, 3 Blackcap, a Garden Warbler, 11 Lesser Whitethroat, 3 Song Thrush, 2 Whinchat, a Stonechat, 1 Wheatear and a Tree Pipit.

There was as usual good numbers of Waders in the area, a fantastic count of 1093 Ringed Plover on the Humber was a record. Further sightings were a Purple Sandpiper at the narrows, 2 Curlew Sandpiper at chalky point and Kilnsea wetlands recorded 2 Little-ringed Plover, 23 Ruff, a Spotted Redshank, 27 Greenshank, 2 Common Sandpiper, 4 Green Sandpiper, 7 Black-tailed Godwit and Little Stint. Other bits of note here were 2 Little Guull, a Caspian Gull, 70 Teal and 54 Little Egret.

The best of movement over the sea were 115 Teal, 70 Common Scoter, 3 Fulmar, 18 Oystercatcher, a Black Tern, 1 Roseate Tern, 3 Great Skua and 10 Arctic Skua, while overland 6 Sand Martin, 155 Swallow, 88 Yellow Wagtail and a Tree Pipit.

Ringing: 1 Great Tit, 1 Blue Tit, 2 Whitethroat, 6 Willow Warbler, 1 Garden Warbler, 3 Dunnock, 2 Robin, 1 Song Thrush, 5 Starling, 2 Goldfinch, 1 Greenfinch, 1 House Sparrow.

Overcast and damp but muggy, late afternoon sun with a F3 westerly turning east later.  Watches: 0540-0900, 1645-2000.

It was maybe due to the conditions with a small increase in migrants and greater diversity on show with 2 Cuckoo, a Short-eared Owl, a Cetti’s Warbler singing at Sammy’s, 87 Willow Warbler, 8 Chiffchaff, 20 Reed Warbler, 2 Grasshopper Warbler, 5 Blackcap, 4 Garden Warbler, 73 Whitethroat, 5 Spotted Flycatcher, 3 Pied Flycatcher, a Redstart, 3 Whinchat, 2 Stonechat, 3 Wheatear, 2 Tree Pipit and 29 Yellow Wagtail.

Wader numbers and species on Kilnsea wetlands continue to be very notable, especially Ruff numbers in the area. Todays totals were 28 Teal, 2 Little-ringed Plover, 7 Black-tailed Godwit, 21 Ruff, a juvenile Curlew Sandpiper, 3 Snipe, 2 Common Sandpiper, 3 Green Sandpiper, 401 Redshank, a Spotted Redshank, 23 Greenshank and 3 Caspian Gull. A decent gathering on the Point beach saw 3 Black Tern amiong 500 Common Tern.

Anothe quiter day over the sea, with less of everything, counts returned of 1 Wigeon, 33 Teal, 24 Common Scoter, a Red-throated Diver, 7 Fulmar, a Manx Shearwater, 91 Gannet, 3 Oystercatcher, 1 Whimbrel, a Curlew, 2 Bar-tailed Godwit, 7 Turnstone, 3 Knot, 7 Sanderling, a Green Sandpiper, 2 Wood Sandpiper, 2 Kittiwake, 3 Little Gull, a Great Skua and 2 Arctic Skua, while overland 12 Little Egret, 77 Swallow, 47 Tree Sparrow, 82 Yellow Wagtail and 4 Tree Pipit.

Sunny spells and a F3 westerly to north east.  Watches: 0540-1000, 1645-2000.

Easterly winds are predicted for the weekend and hopefully the usual drift migrants will appear in good numbers, while todays grounded migrant totals were a Cuckoo, 75 Willow Warbler, a Wood Warbler at the Point, 2 Blackcap, 2 Garden Warbler, 1 Goldcrest, 2 Song Thrush, 8 Spotted Flycatcher, 4 Redstart, 2 Whinchat, 3 Wheatear, 2 Tree Pipit and 11 Yellow Wagtail.

It was steady again over the sea, but a few Skuas kept it interesting with 4 Teal, 61 Common Scoter, 4 Fulmar, 125 Gannet, 33 Oystercatcher, 12 Whimbrel, 6 Curlew, 20 Bar-tailed Godwit, 26 Turnstone, 12 Knot, a Ruff, 24 Sanderling, 18 Dunlin, a Purple Sandpiper, 4 Snipe, 22 Kittiwake, 3 Little Gull, 6 Great Skua, 3 Pomarine Skua and 19 Arctic Skua.

The Kilnsea wetlands areas as usual produced the goods with 6 Shoveler, 16 Teal, 2 Little-ringed Plover, 23 Ruff, a Curlew Sandpiper, 3 Snipe, 2 Common Sandpiper, 4 Green Sandpiper, 270 Redshank, 19 Greenshank, 7 Black-tailed Godwit, 155 Mediterranean Gull, 2 Caspian Gull and a Yellow-legged Gull.

Ringing: 2 Wood Pigeon, 8 Willow Warbler, 3 Whitethroat, 1 Treecreeper, 1 Spotted Flycatcher, 1 Tree Pipit, 1 Dunnock.

Sunny start became overcast and a F5-4 south westerly.  Watches: 0545-0945, 1030-1230, 1703-2000.

What can only be described as a poor seawatch came to life for five observers, with a distant and frustrating ‘FEA'S TYPE PETREL’ heading south. Hopefully a closer return pass tomorrow here or another site will resolve it. The evening watch also produced a juvenile Long-tailed Skua and an adult Pomarine Skua, while during the day 16 Teal, 51 Common Scoter, 3 Fulmar, 229 Gannet, 36 Oystercatcher, 4 Whimbrel, a Curlew, 9 Turnstone, 41 Knot, a Ruff, 5 Sanderling, 22 Dunlin, a Redshank, 164 Kittiwake, 58 Black-headed Gull, 272 Sandwich Tern, a Black Tern, 2 Great Skua and 14 Arctic Skua.

Some great counts again in the Kiklnsea wetlands area not least the 47 Little Egret and 30 Ruff, plus 10 Shoveler, 16 Teal, a Tufted Duck, 2 Lapwing, 2 Little-ringed Plover, a Curlew Sandpiper, 3 Snipe, a Common Sandpiper, 3 Green Sandpiper, 486 Redshank, 12 Greenshank, 10 Black-tailed Godwit, a Little Gull, 30 Mediterranean Gull.

There was an increase in grounded migrants with 2 Cuckoo, 51 Willow Warbler, 3 Blackcap, a Garden Warbler, 1 Goldcrest, 6 Spotted Flycatcher, 3 Whinchat, 4 Wheatear and 10 Yellow Wagtail.

Ringing: 1 Wood Pigeon, 14 Willow Warbler, 3 Whitethroat, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Reed Warbler, 1 Blackbird, 3 Robin.

Sunny spells with intermittent rain and a F5 south westerly.  Watches: 0555-1310, 1720-2015.

The sea was again the place to be, 2 Long-tailed Skua and a Pomarine Skua the highlights, but also a nice mix of species with 2 Gadwall, 3 Wigeon, 80 Teal, 101 Common Scoter, 3 Red-throated Diver, 4 Fulmar, a Sooty Shearwater, 3 Manx Shearwater, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 65 Gannet, 370 Oystercatcher, 5 Golden Plover, 27 Whimbrel, 20 Curlew, 6 Bar-tailed Godwit, 11 Turnstone, 20 Knot, 15 Sanderling, 14 Dunlin, 5 Redshank, a Greenshank, 2 Purple Sandpiper, a Snipe, 142 Kittiwake, 3 Great Skua and 56 Arctic Skua, while the evening roost movement had 728 Common, 64 Arctic, 3 Black Tern and a Roseate Tern.

Another good day on Kilnsea wetlands, which along with all the usuals had 28 Little Egret, 26 Teal, 17 Ruff, a Curlew Sandpiper, 3 Snipe, 2 Common Sandpiper, 6 Green Sandpiper, 12 Greenshank, 60 Mediterranean Gull and 3 juvenile Caspian Gull.

Fewer grounded migrants around today with a Cuckoo, 23 Willow Warbler, a Wheatear and 7 Yellow Wagtail.

Ringing: 2 Swallow, 2 Sand Martin, 8 Willow Warbler, 1 Bullfinch.

Sunny spells and the odd shower with a F5 north westerly.  Watches: 0540-2000.

A change in the weather saw the focus back on the sea and while numbers were generally on the low side, it was made up by a bit of diversity, including a nice close in Cory’s Shearwater and the first 3 Sooty Shearwater of the autumn passage. Other notable counts were 12 Common Scoter, a Red-breasted Merganser, 1 Red-throated Diver, 16 Fulmar, 7 Manx Shearwater, 242 Gannet, 4 Cormorant, 499 Oystercatcher, 8 Whimbrel, a Curlew, 8 Turnstone, 5 Knot, 10 Sanderling, a Snipe, 88 Kittiwake and 27 Arctic Skua, while the evening roost movement had 838 Common and a Black Tern.

It was almost as you were on Kilnsea wetlands with all the usaul species present, but with some good birds and standout counts (all highlighted), the Spoonbill, 32 Little Egret, 28 Teal, a Little-ringed Plover, 14 Black-tailed Godwit, 15 Ruff, a Curlew Sandpiper, 3 Snipe, 3 Common Sandpiper, 2 Green Sandpiper, 354 Redshank, 862 Black-headed Gull, 148 Mediterranean Gull, 21 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 5 Caspian Gull (all juveniles) and the juvenile Merlin still hunting the area.

There were very few grounded migrants in the bushes with just 19 Willow Warbler and 22 Yellow Wagtail, but maybe due to observers concentrating on the sea?

Ringing: 1 Wood Pigeon, 15 Swallow, 9 Willow Warbler, 1 Robin.

Sunny spells with a F3 south westerly.  Watches: 0630-1345.

A noticeable increase for grounded migrants was welcome with 2 Cuckoo, 73 Willow Warbler, 26 Sedge Warbler, 27 Reed Warbler, 4 Garden Warbler, 22 Whitethroat, a Spotted Flycatcher, 1 Whinchat, 33 Yellow Wagtail.

A quieter day for the sea with more of a ‘trickle’ for the counters, 14 Shelduck, a Gadwall, 5 Teal, a Velvet Scoter, 18 Common Scoter, 70 Cormorant, 201 Oystercatcher, 3 Whimbrel, 2 Curlew, 13 Black-tailed Godwit, 11 Turnstone, 174 Knot, 6 Ruff, 22 Sanderling, 33 Redshank, 2 Black Tern, a Great Skua and 3 Arctic Skua, while the evening roost movement was again quiet, but productive with 561 Common, 81 Arctic and a 2 Roseate Tern.

Kilnsea wetlands was again rocking some good totals with 26 Little Egret, 28 Teal, 2 Little-ringed Plover, 13 Black-tailed Godwit, 12 Ruff, 3 Curlew Sandpiper, 10 Snipe, 2 Common Sandpiper, 2 Green Sandpiper, 440 Redshank, 12 Greenshank, 1 Little Gull and a juvenile Caspian Gull. Other bits of note were 3 Water Rail on Canal scrape with a small fluffy chick and the Merlin still hunting the area.

Ringing: 1 Swallow, 8 Willow Warbler, 5 Whitethroat, 6 Sedge Warbler, 3 Reed Warbler, 2 Garden Warbler, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 3 Wren, 1 Starling, 2 Robin, 4 Linnet, 1 Tree Sparrow.

Sunny spells and the odd shower with a F4-5 south westerly.  Watches: 0600-1230, 1800-2100.

There was yet again some decent movement over the sea, but just a trickle overland. In the bushes there were small numbers of grounded migrants with a Wood Warbler trapped at Kew, where a Spotted Flycatcher was present (both firsts of the autumn),  a Cuckoo, 33 Willow Warbler, 1 Blackcap, a Garden Warbler, a Song Thrush, a Whinchat, 11 Yellow Wagtail and a Tree Pipit.

On the move offshore from the seawatch hide were 2 Mallard, 25 Common Scoter, 7 Goosander in, a Red-throated Diver, 3 Fulmar, 51 Gannet, 99 Oystercatcher, 51 Ringed Plover, 21 Whimbrel, 2 Curlew, 14 Black-tailed Godwit, 20 Turstone, 42 Knot, 45 Dunlin, a Little Stint in/off, 80 Sanderling, 12 Snipe, 79 Redshank, a Greenshank, 3 Little Gull, 3 Little Tern, 2 Black Tern, an Arctic Skua and a Puffin, while the evening roost movement, which has not got going yet had 970 Common and 153 Arctic Tern. Overlandjust 27 Swift, 8 Sand Martin, 10 Swallow, 11 Yellow Wagtail, a Pied Wagtail and 13 Linnet.

Kilnsea wetlands was again brimming over withn a fantastic seection of birds with a Spoonbill, Shoveler, 2 Wigeon, a Pintail, 20 Teal, 4 Little-ringed Plover, 13 Black-tailed Godwit, 7 Ruff, 3 Curlew Sandpiper (2 juvenile), 4000 Dunlin, 8 Snipe, 2 Common Sandpiper, 250 Redshank, 22 Greenshank, a Little Gull, 51 Mediterranean Gull, a 2cy Caspian Gull (XPEU making a re-appearance) and a Merlin.

Ringing: 1 Common Tern, 1 Dunlin, 5 Willow Warbler, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Wood Warbler, 1 Reed Warbler, 1 Blackcap, 4 Whitethroat, 1 Sedge Warbler, 3 Sand Martin, 2 Reed Warbler, 1 Dunnock, 1 Wren, 2 Robin, 1 Linnet.

Sunny spells with a F5 south westerly.  Watches: 0600-1550.

There was a fine selection of Waders and Gulls on Kilnsea wetlands, with high tide being a great time to visit, totals of a Spoonbill, 10 Little Egret, a Pintail, 20 Teal, 7 Little-ringed Plover, 8 Black-tailed Godwit, a Little Stint, 6 Ruff, a Curlew Sandpiper, 9 Snipe, 3 Common Sandpiper, a Green Sandpiper, 371 Redshank, 9 Greenshank, 1000 Black-headed Gull, a Little Gull, 33 Mediterranean Gull, 3 Caspian Gull (2 juveniles, 2cy) and a Hobby.

Over the sea, it was another morning of mainly Waders trickling over the sea, among a few other species, 4 Shoveler, 13 Teal, 71 Common Scoter, 3 Fulmar, 157 Gannet, 56 Oystercatcher, 7 Ringed Plover, 7 Whimbrel, a Curlew, 6 Black-tailed Godwit, 9 Turnstone, 33 Knot, 6 Dunlin, 5 Snipe, 79 Redshank, 2 Little Gull, an Arctic Skua and a Great Skua, while the evening roost movement had 702 Sandwich, 1467 Common and 18 Arctic and a Black Tern. Overland a decent 1732 Swift flew south along with 28 Sand Martin and 26 Swallow.

There were very few grounded migrants in the bushes with just 8 Willow Warbler, 2 Whinchat, 6 Yellow Wagtail and a Tree Pipit.

Polite reminder for all visitors: the Little Tern colony at Beacon Ponds is extremely vulnerable to disturbance. PLEASE STAY WELL AWAY from the fenced area of beach which is clearly signposted, and respect the wardens on duty. Up to 60 birds are present regularly in the colony and can be viewed well from the flood bank.

Sunny and warm and a F3 south westerly.  Watches: 1845-2045.

The first juvenile Curlew Sandpiper of the autumn on KIlnsea wetlands, some more Waders moving south over the sea, but the undoubted highlight of the day were 8 BEE-EATER by Willow cottage, which eventually headed south to the triangle feeding, returning back north, last seen heading north over the Cemetery. There was a big reduction down to 6 Willow Warbler, but a few new bits were about too, a Garden Warbler, a Pied Flycatcher, 3 Whinchat, a Wheatear, and 30 Yellow Wagtail.

It was another decentish day of Wader movement over the sea with 5 Shelduck, 12 Teal, 60 Common Scoter, 2 Fulmar, a Shag, 78 Oystercatcher, 6 Ringed Plover, a Little-ringed Plover, 33 Whimbrel, 13 Bar-tailed Godwit, 31 Turnstone, 107 Knot, 37 Dunlin, 31 Sanderling, a Snipe, 2 Green Sandpiper, 16 Redshank, a Greenshank, 67 Little Gull, 3 Mediterranean Gull and a Great Skua, while the evening roost had 1075 Common, 2 Arctic Tern, 565 Sandwich and a Black Tern.

Kilnsea wetlands remained busy with plenty on offer with one of the usual Spoonbill, a Pintail, 4 Little-ringed Plover, 5 Black-tailed Godwit, 3 Ruff, 2 Curlew Sandpiper (including the first juvenile), 5600 Dunlin, 8 Snipe, a Green Sandpiper, 407 Redshank, 7 Greenshank, 1660 Black-headed Gull, 15 Little Gull, 22 Mediterranean Gull, a juvenile Caspian Gull, a Merlin and a Hobby.

A female Southern Migrant Hawker was released from the Heligoland trap in Churchfield as was a Brown Hawker.

Sunny and warm and a F3 south westerly.  Watches: 0600-0845.

It was another good varied day with some movment over the sea and land, the evening Tern roost slowly building in numbers, plenty of Gulls and Waders to grill on Kilnsea wetlands and again some grounded Passerines to search for, with totals of 43 Willow Warbler, a Blackcap, 30 Whitethroat, a Pied Flycatcher, 15 Yellow Wagtail and a Wheatear.

On the move offshore from the seawatch hide were a Shelduck, 56 Common Scoter, 64 Gannet, 274 Oystercatcher, 4 Ringed Plover, 11 Whimbrel, 2 Curlew, 5 Black-tailed Godwit, 6 Turnstone, 9 Knot, 21 Dunlin, a Common Sandpiper, 3 Redshank, a Greenshank, 4 Kittiwake and 11 Mediterranean Gull, while the Tern roost movement saw 276 Sandwich, 56 Arctic, 860 Common Tern and 2 Black Tern. Overland with an Osprey, 5 Sand Martin, 168 Swallow, 5 House Martin and 3 Yellow Wagtail.

The Kilnsea wetlands had its usual good mix of species with a Spoonbill, 1 Pintail, 6 Little-ringed Plover, 2 Black-tailed Godwit, 3 Ruff, a Curlew Sandpiper, 3500 Dunlin, 12 Snipe, 5 Common Sandpiper, a Green Sandpiper, 317 Redshank, 19 Greenshank, 4 Little Gull, 20 Mediterranean Gull, a juvenile Caspian Gull, 1 Short-eared Owl, a Merlin and a Hobby.

Ringing: 16 Swallow, 2 House Martin, 7 Willow Warbler, 1 Chiffchaff, 3 Reed Warbler, 6 Whitethroat, 1 Sedge Warbler, 3 Sand Martin, 2 Reed Warbler, 2 Robin, 3 Goldfinch, 1 Reed Bunting.

A warm and sunny day with a F5-3 westerly.  Watches: 0540-1605.

A noticeable increase in grounded migrants, brought an Icterine Warbler to Sykes field plus a Cuckoo, a great count of 84 Willow Warbler, 7 Sedge Warbler and 2 Garden Warbler.

The day saw some varied movement over land and sea with maybe the previous days ringtail Hen Harrier, a Red Kite, 1 Cuckoo, 372 Swift, 64 Sand Martin, 2298 Swallow, 43 House Martin and 18 Tree Sparrow. Movement over the sea was again dominated by Waders with 7 Shelduck, a Teal, 4 Common Scoter, 5 Fulmar, 150 Gannet, 146 Oystercatcher, a Grey Plover, 18 Ringed Plover, 2 Little-ringed Plover, 11 Whimbrel, 2 Curlew, a Bar-tailed Godwit, 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 15 Turnstone, 3 Knot, 40 Sanderling, 48 Dunlin, 3 Redshank, a Greenshank, 34 Kittiwake, 4 Little Gull, 4 Mediterranean Gull, a Great Skua, 1 Pomarine Skua and 4 Arctic Skua, while the Tern roost movement saw 148 Sandwich, 21 Arctic and 529 Common Tern.

It was much the same on Kilnsea wetlands, 2 Spoonbill, 18 Little Egret, 2 Wigeon, a Pintail, 3 Little-ringed Plover, 2 Black-tailed Godwit, 3 Ruff, a Snipe, 3 Common Sandpiper, a Green Sandpiper and 10 Greenshank.

Ringing: 1 Sandwich Tern, 1 Blue Tit, 22 Willow Warbler, 4 Whitethroat, 1 Reed Warbler, 1 Blackbird, 1 Greenfinch, 5 Linnet, 14 Swallow..

A day of long sunny periods, showers in the afternoon and a F5 south easterly.  Watches: 0545-1840.

The 2cy Black Stork was again present this morning, seen in flight over Easington, evetually landing on Kilnsea wetlands briefly then headed south down the Peninsula and presumably towards Lincolnshire.

It was considerably quieter for birds on the move offshore, but the monthly totals for many are aready quite impressive with 2 Shelduck, 1 Teal, 13 Common Scoter, a Red-throated Diver, 138 Gannet, 99 Oystercatcher, 9 Grey Plover, 17 Ringed Plover, 3 Little-ringed Plover, 6 Whimbrel, a Curlew, 6 Bar-tailed Godwit, 18 Turnstone, 21 Knot, 38 Sanderling, 35 Dunlin, 3 Snipe, 10 Redshank, a Wood Sandpiper, 498 Kittiwake and 4 Arctic Skua, while the evening Tern roost had 338 Common, 44 Arctic and 93 Sandwich. Overland movement was much diminished too, 4 Marsh Harrier, a ringtail Hen Harrier, 104 Swift, a Grey Wagtail, 10 Sand Martin and 43 Swallow.

The Kilnsea wetlands area had the usual 2 Spoonbill which flew off south in the afternoon along with 2 Wigeon, 20 Teal, 4 Little-ringed Plover, 5 Black-tailed Godwit, 3 Ruff, a Curlew Sandpiper, 1500 Dunlin, 6 Snipe, 5 Common Sandpiper, 2 Green Sandpiper, 10 Greenshank, 15 Mediterranean Gull, 3 Caspian Gull and 45 Little Tern.

Ringing 1 Reed Bunting, 1 Wren.

A day of long sunny periods, showers in the afternoon and a F5 south easterly.  Watches: 0545-1840.

It was a great day for movement over the sea for Waders and Duck and overland for Swift mainly late afternoon. The star of the show was a 2cy BLACK STORK, which tracked very slowly down from Grimston, eventually reaching Out Newton, landing in cut fields during a heavy shower, then entered the recording area over the south side of Easington, where it lingered attracting the attention of the local Peregrines. It eventually drifted off northwest around 4pm and apparently landed in fields out of sight from the road in the Skeffling/ Out Newton area. 

On the move offshore from the seawatch hide were 3 Shelduck, 318 Teal, a Scaup, 293 Common Scoter, a Great White Egret, 169 Gannet, 345 Oystercatcher, 16 Golden Plover, 8 Grey Plover, 51 Ringed Plover, 2 Little-ringed Plover, 43 Whimbrel, 15 Curlew, 11 Bar-tailed Godwit, 73 Turnstone, 442 Knot, 2 Ruff, 248 Sanderling, 1106 Dunlin, 7 Snipe, 3 Common Sandpiper, 124 Redshank, a Greenshank, 121 Kittiwake, a juvenile Yellow-legged Gull and 3 Arctic Skua, while the evening Tern roost began with modest numbers involving 278 Common, 9 Arctic, 119 Sandwich and 2 Black Tern.

The vismiggers at last had some birds to count overland with 3 Marsh Harrier, 3307 Swift, 160 Sand Martin and 154 Swallow.

The Kilnsea wetlands area, again entertaiined, 2 Spoonbill, a Wood Sandpiper, 1 Pintail, a Wigeon, 102 Teal, 4 Little-ringed Plover, 16 Black-tailed Godwit, a Curlew Sandpiper, 5 Common Sandpiper, 3 Green Sandpiper, 15 Greenshank, 36 Mediterranean Gull, a juvenile Caspian Gull and 45 Little Tern.

Ringing 1 Reed Bunting, 1 Wren.

Sunny spells and a F4-5 south westerly.  Watches: 0600-1300.

There were still some good bits on offer especially in the Kilnsea wetlandsa area, 8 Shoveler, a Pintail, 25 Teal, 3 Spoonbill, a Lapwing, 4 Little-ringed Plover, 3 Black-tailed Godwit, 3 Ruff, a Curlew Sandpiper, 3 Common Sandpiper, a Wood Sandpiper, 544 Redshank, 7 Greenshank, a juvenile Caspian Gull and 4 Mediterranean Gull.

Each day seems to bring decent numbers of Waders heading south over the sea, but no big pushes yet with a Shelduck, 204 Teal, 49 Common Scoter, 91 Gannet, 80 Oystercatcher, a Grey Plover, 2 Ringed Plover, a Little-ringed Plover, 17 Whimbrel, 2 Curlew, 25 Black-tailed Godwit, 40 Turnstone, 224 Knot, 100 Sanderling, 31 Dunlin, 2 Common Sandpiper, 148 Redshank, 121 Kittiwake, 2 Little Gull and an Arctic Skua.

Ringing: 3 Blackcap, 1 Dunnock, 1 Wren.

Scattered showers, with thunderstorms late in the day with a F4 south westerly.  Watches: 0520-1740.

The day had a great mix of grounded migrants, some fantastic numbers of Waders and species variety, pushing south offshore, while the Kilnsea wetlands and Beacon ponds area continues to offer up some great birding, especially at high tide with 3 Spoonbill, 2 Wood Sandpiper, 2 Pintail, 72 Teal, a Tufted Duck, 26 Little Egret, 2 Marsh Harrier, 4 Little-ringed Plover, 2 Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Ruff, 5 Curlew Sandpiper, 5 Common Sandpiper, 3 Green Sandpiper, 9 Greenshank, 2 Little Gull, 35 Mediterranean Gull, a juvenile Caspian Gull and 75 Little Tern.

The trickle of daily grounded migrants continues, today saw the first Pied Flycatcher and 2 Garden Warbler of the autumn along with 13 Willow Warbler and a Wheatear.

Moving south offshore from the seawatch hide were 4 Shoveler, 2 Gadwall, 246 Teal, 376 Common Scoter, 2 Manx Shearwater, 313 Gannet, 44 Oystercatcher, a Golden Plover, 9 Grey Plover, 3 Ringed Plover, 48 Whimbrel, 4 Curlew, 5 Bar-tailed Godwit, 3 Black-tailed Godwit, 70 Turnstone, 222 Knot, 80 Sanderling, 24 Dunlin, 5 Snipe, 2 Common Sandpiper, a Green Sandpiper, 61 Redshank, a Greenshank, 58 Kittiwake, 11 Little Gull, a Great Skua and 14 Arctic Skua, with just 42 Swift heading south.

Rin ging 2 Great Tit, 3 Whitethroat, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Reed Warbler.

A warm sunny day rain late in the day with a F3-4 south easterly.  Watches: 0550-1150.

The day was similar to the previous few, Kilnsea wetlands enjoying the bulk of the good birding with 37 Mallard, 2 Pintail, 19 Teal, 3 Spoonbill, 36 Little Egret, 4 Little-ringed Plover, 8 Black-tailed Godwit, 3 Ruff, 6 Common Sandpiper, a Green Sandpiper, 544 Redshank, 7 Greenshank, a juvenile Caspian Gull, 2cy Yellow-legged Gull, 4 Little Gull, 3 Mediterranean Gull.

Migrant totals were also siimilar, but with the right winds the first Pied Flycatchers or drift migrants could arrive. Today's totals were 3 Chiffchaff, 11 Willow Warbler, 11 Sedge Warbler, 5 Reed Warbler, 37 Whitethroat, a Wheatear, 6 Yellow Wagtail and a Tree Pipit.

The sea had 3 Shelduck, 18 Teal, 215 Common Scoter, a Red-breasted Merganser, 62 Gannet, 14 Oystercatcher, 2 Golden Plover, 12 Whimbrel, 3 Turnstone, 78 Knot, 6 Sanderling, 29 Dunlin, a Green Sandpiper, 4 Redshank, 23 Kittiwake, 72 Sandwich Tern and 3 Arctic Skua.

Ringing: 2 Great Tit, 2 Whitethroat, 1 Blackcap.

Bright, sunny and warm day with a F3-4 south easterly.  Watches: 0600-1515.

Not much change overall, but still good birding throughout the day, the Kilnsea wetlands area had lots to keep observers occupied with 3 Spoonbill, a Wood Sandpiper, 2 Pintail, 18 Teal, 34 Little Egret, 2 Marsh Harrier, 3 Little-ringed Plover, 5 Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Ruff, 8 Snipe, 3 Common Sandpiper, a Green Sandpiper, 11 Greenshank, 2 Little Gull, 3 Mediterranean Gull, a juvenile Caspian Gull and 45 Little Tern.

On the move offshore from the seawatch hide were 10 Shelduck, 66 Teal, 400 Common Scoter, a Red-throated Diver, 2 Fulmar, 97 Gannet, a Shag, 14 Oystercatcher, a Grey Plover, 12 Ringed Plover, 5 Whimbrel, a Curlew, 7 Turnstone, 21 Knot, 93 Sanderling, 55 Dunlin and a juvenile Yellow-legged Gull.

Sunny day with a F2-3 south easterly.  Watches: 0600-1100.

Kilnsea wetlands is as usual for the time of the year pulling in a good selection of Waders, Gulls and Herons. Today’s offerings were 58 Mallard, 2 Pintail, 3 Teal, 3 Spoonbill, 29 Little Egret, 2 Little-ringed Plover, 2 Black-tailed Godwit, 3 Ruff, a Common Sandpiper, a juvenile Spotted Redshank, 150 Redshank, 7 Greenshank, an unringed juvenile Caspian Gull, adult Yellow-legged Gull, 5 Mediterranean Gull, 9 Little Gull and a Hobby.

Another small increae in migrant counts, with more appearing along the peninsula, 4 Chiffchaff, 14 Willow Warbler, 9 Reed Warbler, 12 Lesser Whitethroat, 32 Whitethroat, the Black Redstart still at the Point, 8 Yellow Wagtail and 2 Crossbill.

Still no big movements of Waders, but a trickle was evident in the morning with 3 Shelduck, a Teal, 58 Common Scoter, a Fulmar, 2 Manx Shearwater, 173 Gannet, 55 Cormorant, 39 Oystercatcher, 2 Whimbrel, 3 Turnstone, a Knot, 2 Sanderling, 14 Dunlin, 2 Snipe, a Redshank, 11 Kittiwake, 157 Sandwich Tern, 32 Common Tern and an Arctic Skua, while overland 3 Swift, 75 Sand Martin, 287 Swallow, 2 House Martin and 14 Yellow Wagtail.

Ringing: 2 Ringed Plover, 4 Little Tern, 2 Swallow, 2 Willow Warbler, 9 Whitethroat, 1 Reed Warbler, 1 Sedge Warbler, 1 Wren, 1 Dunnock, 2 Meadow Pipit.

Sunny spells and a F3 northwest-easterly.  Watches: 0540-1215.

A nice total of 3 Caspian Gull on Kilnsea wetlands along with 3 Spoonbill and a Wood Sandpiper plus 2 Pintail, 3 Teal, 21 Little Egret, 2 Little-ringed Plover, 2 Black-tailed Godwit, a Ruff, 1 Common Sandpiper, 2 Green Sandpiper, 248 Redshank, 5 Greenshank, 3 Little Gull, 120 Sandwich Tern and 12 Common Tern and a Marsh Harrier hunting the area.

Some more migrants making their way south saw a Black Redstart at the Point plus 3 Chiffchaff, 11 Willow Warbler, 24 Whitethroat and a Grey Wagtail.

Most of the visible migration was over the sea with 13 Shelduck, 4 Teal, 81 Common Scoter, 3 Fulmar, 70 Manx Shearwater, 220 Gannet, a Shag, 5 Cormorant, 99 Oystercatcher, 3 Whimbrel, 30 Knot, 15 Sanderling, 6 Dunlin, 3 Kittiwake, 29 Common Gull, 114 Sandwich Tern, 13 Common Tern, a Great Skua and 2 Puffin, while a Marsh Harrier headed South.

Early morning drizzle cleared, but overcast with sunny spells and a F4 northerly.  Watches: 0630-1330.

The White-rumped Sandpiper was showing well again on Kilnsea wetlands with good back up which included a Great White Egret, 3 Spoonbill, a Wood Sandpiper, 2 Pintail, 6 Teal, 18 Little Egret, 4 Little-ringed Plover, 2 Black-tailed Godwit, a Ruff, 1 Common Sandpiper, 2 Green Sandpiper, 3 Greenshank, 300 Little Gull, 5 Mediterranean Gull, a Yellow-legged Gull, 50 Sandwich Tern with a good count of 120 Little Tern on Beacon ponds

A multi observer seen Cory’s Shearwater heading north was the highlight over the sea, which also recorded 4 Teal, 3 Velvet Scoter, 40 Common Scoter, a Fulmar, 12 Manx Shearwater, 153 Gannet, 197 Oystercatcher, 3 Whimbrel, a Knot, 3 Sanderling, 165 Kittiwake, 80 Sandwich Tern, 26 Common Tern, a Great Skua, 15 Arctic Skua and a Puffin.
