Watches: 0710-1000.

Similar to the previous day with the Bewick's Swan still present along with the 5 Whooper Swan and nearby a single Black Brant with 450 Brent Geese. A Hen Harrier was floating around the Easington area, 2 Marsh Harrier flew south and 3 Common Buzzard were in the triangle, while locally 3 Red-legged Partridge were quite good.

Migrant numbers were similar with 2 Water Rail, 3 Chiffchaff, 10 Goldcrest, 3 Song Thrush, a Black Redstart, 1 Grey Wagtail, 7 Pied Wagtail, 2 White Wagtail and a Siskin.

The Kilnsea wetlands area had a Pink-footed Goose, 24 Shoveler, 5 Gadwall, 310 Wigeon, 40 Teal, a Tufted Duck, 14 Avocet, 2 Black-tailed Godwit and 3 Snipe.

Ringing: 1 Redwing, 2 Great Tit, 1 Goldcrest, 2 Chaffinch, 1 Goldfinch.

Watches: 0755-0945.

The Bewick's Swan re-appeared today along with the 5 Whooper Swan along Easington straight, while there were 2 Black Brant (inc the hybrid family) present in Holderness field among 500 Brent Geese with the flock also containoing 3 Pale-bellied Brent. 

Migrant wise the hihlight of the morning was a Woodlark flying north plus 7 Chiffchaff, 4 Goldcrest, 7 Song Thrush, a Black Redstart, 1 Stonechat, a Wheatear, 1 Rock Pipit and 2 Bullfinch.

The Kilnsea wetlands area held 35 Shelduck, 26 Shoveler, 6 Gadwall, 170 Wigeon, 30 Teal (inc one with a white nasal saddle), a Tufted Duck, 2 Little Egret, a Marsh Harrier, 11 Avocet, a Lapwing, 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 4 Snipe and a Peregrine with the Pink-footed Goose still in the triangle. 

Ringing: 1 Reed Bunting.

Watches: 0730-0930.

Much the same as recent sightings though the Black Brant appeared again among 350 Brent Geese. The best of todays birds was a summer plumage Water Pipit on Kilnsea wetlands with this area also holding 26 Shelduck, 22 Shoveler, 8 Gadwall, 200 Wigeon, 50 Teal, a Tufted Duck and 1 Black-tailed Godwit.

On the move were 2 Shoveler, 8 Fulmar including a 'blue phase' bird, 2 Red-throated Diver, 2 Gannet, a Kittiwake, 1 Guillemot and 15 Auk sp.

Few migrants seen with only 3 Chiffchaff, 4 Goldcrest, 2 Song Thrush, 13 Meadow Pipit and a Bullfinch.

Ringing: 1 Wood Pigeon.

There was no sign of the Bewick's Swan today, but in the Kilnsea wetlands area were a Pink-footed Goose, 24 Shoveler, 3 Gadwall, 170 Wigeon, 40 Teal, a Tufted Duck, 4 Avocet and 2 Black-tailed Godwit.

Fewer migrants today with 3 Chiffchaff, 8 Goldcrest, 8 Redwing, 3 Song Thrush, a Black Redstart, 2 Bullfinch and 2 Siskin.

On the move were a Common Scoter, 2 Red-throated Diver, 1 Fulmar, a Gannet, 3 Guillemot, 7 Auk sp and a Puffin.

Ringing: 1 Blackbird, 2 Robin, 1 Dunnock, 2 Goldcrest, 2 Greenfinch, 1 Goldfinch

Watches: 0700-0930.

A good day with a nice selection of species seen including the first Garganey of the spring, a nice drake in the usual spot of Holderness field. A Great White Egret was also a first for the year, flying south and a decent spring record with most occuring in late summer and autumn. 

The Bewick's Swan was still present on Kilnsea wetlands with the 5 Whooper Swan along with a Pink-footed Goose, 25 Shelduck, 14 Shoveler, 8 Gadwall, 2 Pintail, 23 Teal, a Pochard, 3 Grey Heron, 3 Little Egret, 23 Avocet, 2 Black-tailed Godwit, 5 Snipe, a Greenshank and a Peregrine while 5 Common Buzzard were blogging and may have headed off south.

Migrants were still quite well represented with 7 Chiffchaff, 13 Goldcrest, 3 Redwing, a Fieldfare, 3 Song Thrush, 2 Black Redstart, a Stonechat, 1 White Wagtail, a Rock Pipit, 1 Siskin and 2 Snow Bunting.

Ringing: 1 Blackbird, 2 Robin, 3 Goldcrest, 4 Chaffinch, 2 Goldfinch, 2 Reed Bunting.

The Bewick's Swan and Black Brant both remained in the area while there was an increase in some migrnats with our first Little-ringed Plover and 2 Sand Martin of the year flying south along with 4 Chiffchaff, a Blackcap, 11 Goldcrest, 2 Firecrest, 3 Fieldfare, a Redwing, 8 Black Redstart, 3 Stonechat, a Grey Wagtail, 40 Meadow Pipit, 1 Rock Pipit and 10 Chaffinch.

In addition to the above on the move were 2 Red Kite, 58 Black-headed Gull, 11 Jackdaw, a Rook, 3 Carrion Crow, 2 Swallow, a White Wagtail, 8 Alba Wagtail, 4 Chaffinch and 2 Goldfinch.

Also today were the 5 Whooper Swan, a Pale-bellied Brent, 1 Pink-footed Goose, 39 Shelduck, 18 Shoveler, 10 Gadwall, 230 Wigeon, 85 Teal, 1 Pochard, a Tufted Duck, 6 Common Scoter, a Red-breasted Merganser, 2 Little Egret, 2 Marsh Harrier, 2 Black-tailed Godwit and a Greenshank mainly in the Kilnsea wetlands area.

Ringing: 3 Chiffchaff, 3 Goldcrest, 2 Great Tit, 6 Chaffinch, 3 Greenfinch, 2 Goldfinch.

Watches: 0600-1030.

A better day of movement over land and sea saw our first 2 Swallow of the spring head south. Also.moving were 29 Jackdaw, 6 Rook, 5 Long-tailed Tit (one was caught by a Merlin at the narrows!), a Fieldfare, 1 White Wagtail, 8 Alba Wagtail, 109 Chaffinch, 7 Greenfinch, 40 Linnet, 8 Goldfinch, 10 Siskin, 1 Yellowhammer and a Corn Bunting. Over the sea were 2 Shoveler, 2 Common Scoter, 2 Common Buzzard, a Marsh Harrier, 258 Black-headed Gull and 138 Common Gull.

There was an increase in migrants with 7 Chiffchaff, 3 Firecrest, 22 Goldcrest, 2 Fieldfare, 12 Redwing, 6 Song Thrush, 2 Black Redstart, 2 Stonechat, a Rock Pipit and 2 Snow Bunting.

The Bewick's Swan remained in the Kilnsea wetlands raeaaling with 5 Whooper Swan, the adult Black Brant, a Pale-bellied Brent, 1 Pink-footed Goose, 17 Shoveler, 5 Gadwall, 100 Wigeon, 34 Teal, 1 Pochard, a Tufted Duck, 2 Goosander, 18 Avocet, 2 Black-tailed Godwit and a Greenshank.

Ringing: 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Blackcap, 1 Goldcrest, 3 Long-tailed 1it, 1 Great Tit, 1 Blackbird, 1 Song Thrush, 1 Redwing, 1 Tree Sparrow, 1 Dunnock, 6 Chaffinch, 2 Goldfinch.

Watches: 0630-1030.

The Kilnsea wetlands area continues to be attractive to a good selection of species. The Bewick's Swan remained in residence along with 5 Whooper Swan plus he adult Black Brant among 500 Brent Geese and 1 Pale-bellied Brent. The area alsp held 28 Shelduck, 9 Shoveler, 8 Gadwall, 60 Wigeon, 30 Teal, a Pochard, 1 Tufted Duck 2 Little Egret, a Marsh Harrier and a Black-tailed Godwit.

The expected trickle of migramts through the area now as early spring kicks in brought a Firecrest, 4 Goldcrest, 6 Chiffchaff, a Blackcap, 1 F Wagtail, ieldfare, 14 Redwing, 2 Song Thrush, 4 Black Redstart, 2 Stonechat, a White Wagtail and 9 Snow Bunting.

On the move were a Common Buzzard, 1 Marsh Harrier, 358 Black-headed Gull, 121 Common Gull, 5 Stock Dove, 23 Jackdaw, 5 Rook, 2 Skylark, 1 White Wagtail, 2 Alba Wagtail, 21 Meadow Pipit, 245 Chaffinch, 3 Brambling, 6 Greenfinch, 2 Goldfinch and 79 Siskin.

Ringing: 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Firecrest, 3 Goldcrest, 3 Long-tailed Tit, 2 Redwing, 4 Chaffinch, 1 Greenfinch.

The Bewick's Swan was still present today with the 6 Whooper Swan on Kilnsea Wetlands, while in the same area the Black Brant, 500 Brent Geese, 32 Shoveler, 12 Gadwall, 140 Wigeon, 30 Teal, 43 Shelduck, a Marsh Harrier and a Black-tailed Godwit.

Migrants were represented by 2 Chiffchaff, a Blackcap, 2 Goldcrest, 6000 Starling, 3 Song Thrush, 2 Black Redstart, 9 Stonechat, a Wheatear and 3 Bullfinch.

On the move were a Lapwing, 154 Black-headed Gull, 13 Jackdaw, 5 Rook, 2 Skylark, a House Sparrow, 2 Tree Sparrow, a White Wagtail, 1 Alba Wagtail, 7 Greenfinch, 5 Goldfinch, 4 Linnet, 4 Siskin and 3 Snow Bunting.

Ringing: 2 Dunnock, 1 Great Tit, 3 Goldfinch.

 The Bewick's Swan and 5 Whooper Swan were still present today along with the Black Brant, 820 Brent Geese, a Pink-footed Goose, 27 Shoveler, 256 Wigeon, 27 Teal, a Tufted Duck, 1 Greenshank and 4 Avocet.

Migrants included a Firecrest, 12 Chiffchaff, a Blackcap, 2 Goldcrest, 3 Song Thrush, 2 Black Redstart, an increase to 16 Stonechat, 4 Wheatear, a Rock Pipit, 30 Meadow Pipit and a Snow Bunting.

Ringing: 1 Robin.

Chilly but sunny in the F4 E wind.  Watches: 0630-1030.

The recent big push of Swans countrywide recently had the desired effect when it dropped.it a rare spring record of Bewick's Swan covorting with 7 Whooper Swan on Kilnsea Wetlands. The same area also held 815 Brent Geese, 8 Gadwall, 168 Wigeon and 8 Shoveler. 

Migrant totals were down again with only 6 Chiffchaff, 2 Goldcrest, 750 Starling, a Song Thrush, 1 Mistle Thrush, 2 Stonechat, a Rock Pipit and a Snow Bunting.

Little.on the move today with just a Teal, 19 Common Scoter, 2 Red-throated Diver, 2 Gannet, a Cormorant and 1 Shag.

A chilly overcast day with a F0-2 NNW wind. Watches: 0730-1000.

There was still a nice scatter of migrants around the area with a Woodcock, 28 Chiffchaff, the first Blackcap of the spring, 2 Firecrest, 14 Goldcrest, 8 Redwing, 2 Song Thrush, a Stonechat, 4 Wheatear, 1 White Wagtail, 15 Pied Wagtail, a Rock Pipit, 3 Bullfinch and a Siskin.

On the move today were 26 Brent Geese, 2 Shelduck, 41 Common Scoter, a Red-breasted Merganser, 13 Red-throated Diver, 43 Jackdaw, 2 Rook, 7 Carrion Crow, 880 Starling, a Grey Wagtail, 7 Alba Wagtail, 4 Meadow Pipit, 3 Chaffinch, 1 Goldfinch, a Greenfinch, 3 Siskin and a Corn Bunting.

The Black Brant remained along with 20 Whooper Swan, 13 Shoveler, 9 Gadwall, 240 Wigeon, 18 Mallard, a Goldeneye, 4 Little Egret and a Marsh Harrier in the long bank area.

A fantastic day for migrants with a nice arrival in the area which included 6 Firecrest, 35 Chiffchaff, 23 Goldcrest, 1 Woodcock, 18 Pied Wagtail, 2 Fieldfare, 75 Redwing, 8 Song Thrush, 1 Stonechat, 2 Wheatear, 19 Chaffinch and 2 Snow Bunting

A quieter movement today saw only a Grey Heron, 1 Marsh Harrier, 16 Jackdaw, 3 Rook, 10 Meadow Pipit, 12 Chaffinch, 10 Siskin and a Reed Bunting head south.

Other sightings included a Black Brant, 700 Brent Geese, 19 Whooper Swans, 7 Avocet, 2 Short-eared Owl and a Marsh Harrier in the Kilnsea wetlands area

Ringing: 3 Chiffchaff, 1 Firecrest, 1 Great Tit, 2 Pied Wagtail, 2 Robin, 7 Chaffinch, 2 Goldfinch.

Watches: 0615-1030.
The 1st Ring Ouzel of the year was a nice early record by Easington gas terminal. The day was also good for numbers of migrants and saw recorded, 2 Firecrest​​​​​, 43 Goldcrest, 14 Chiffchaff, 200 Starling, a Fieldfare, 5 Redwing, 8 Song Thrush, 1 Black Redstart, a Stonechat, 2 Wheatear, 14 Pied Wagtail and 2 Rock Pipit. 

On the move were 25 Jackdaw, 7 Rook, 4 Skylark, 3 Alba Wagtail, 2 Meadow Pipit, 671 Chaffinch, 3 Greenfinch, 30 Linnet, 7 Goldfinch and 10 Siskin.  ​​​Not much on the sea though a Velvet Scoter was good and 120 Black-headed Gull went south.

Also of note today were the Black Brant with 500 Brent Geese and 2 Whooper Swan.

There were 2 Black Brant in the area today with the "usual" adult plus hybrid young and the other bird which had been seen intermittently recently. There was also an increase to 18 Whooper Swan on Kilnsea Wetlands.

Migrants today included 4 Chiffchaff, 1 Goldcrest, 2000 Starling, 1 Fieldfare, a Redwing, 3 Song Thrush, 1 Stonechat and a Wheatear.

Some good movement today saw 3 Grey Heron, 25 Jackdaw, 17 Rook, 3 Carrion Crow, 11 Great Tit, 7 Skylark, 902Starling, 6 White Wagtail, 26 Alba Wagtail, 46 Meadow Pipit, 281 Chaffinch, a Bullfinch, 7 Greenfinch, 41Linnet, 23 Goldfinch, 3 Snow Bunting, a Corn Bunting,9 Reed Bunting and 2 Yellowhammer.

Ringing: 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Goldcrest, 2 Blackbird, 1 Redwing, 1 Song Thrush, 1 Robin, 2 Tree Sparrow, 1 Great Tit,  9 Chaffinch, 2 Greenfinch, 2 Goldfinch.

The Wheatear was still on Clubleys while other migrants included 6 Chiffchaff, 1 Goldcrest, 1000 Starling, 12 Fieldfare, 23 Redwing and 23 Meadow Pipit.

Some good movement today saw 3 Grey Heron, 13 Jackdaw, 8 Rook, 2 Skylark, a Grey Wagtail, 9 Alba Wagtail, 104 Meadow Pipit, 330 Chaffinch, a Brambling, 8 Linnet, 4 Goldfinch and 55 Siskin head south while the sea produced 10 Teal, a Common Scoter, 1 Red-breasted Merganser, 4 Red-throated Diver, 3 Gannet, a Cormorant, 156 Black-headed Gull, 40 Herring Gull, 3 Lesser black backed Gull and a Guillemot.

Other sightings included the 6 Whooper Swan on Kilnsea Wetlands.

Right on cue the first 2 Wheatear appeared today, singles on Clubleys and increases in other migrants with 6 Chiffchaff, 6 Goldcrest, 1000 Starling and 23 Meadow Pipit.

Other sightings included the 8 Whooper Swan, 9 Gadwall, a Tufted Duck, 1 Mediterranean Gull, 5 Black-tailed Godwit, a Greenshank and 7 Avocet.

Ringing: 1 Blackbird, 1 Redwing, 1 Robin.

A calm overcast day with a F4 ESE wind.   Watches: 0720-1015.

Spring migrants will soon be upon us, as we eagerly await the first Wheatear or Hirundine. In the mean time the numbers of wintering birds quickly begin to decline.

Today saw 8 Whooper Swan on Long bank, while in this general area were 600 Brent Geese, 14 Shoveler, 7 Gadwall, 350 Wigeon, 30 Teal, a Tufted Duck, 4 Goldeneye, 4 Little Egret, 5 Common Buzzard, 2 Avocet, 150 Curlew and a Greenshank.

There was little on the way of movement with only 11 Common Scoter, a Red-breasted Merganser, 15 Red-throated Diver, a Great Crested Grebe, 5 Gannet, 15 Jackdaw, 2 Skylark and 7 Chaffinch.

Other sightings included 2 Grey Partridge, 2 Peregrine and Merlin hunting the area, a Short eared Owl in the trianglr, 7 Stonectat, a Brsmbling in Easington and a Bullfinch in the triamle.

Quieter overall with less birds on the move with 2 Shelduck, 7 Teal, 3 Common Scoter, 4 Eider, 2 Fulmar, 22 Red-throated diver, a Great Northern Diver, 2 Oystercatcher, 107 Black-headed Gull, 60 Herring Gull, 10 Guillemot, 35 Jackdaw, 2 Rook, 160 starling, a White Wagtail, 1 Alba Wagtail, 52 Chaffinch and 5 Linnet.

Otherwise a Pink-footed Goose was in the triangle, 6 Whooper Swan on Kilnsea wetlands, 110 Lapwing and 1000 Knot on the Humber and 2 Peregrine in the area.

Another day dominated with birds on the move which saw 45 Pink-footed Geese, 4 Common Scoter, 2 Eider, a Great Crested Grebe, 15 Red-throated Diver, 2 Fulmar, a Gannet, 22 Cormorant, a Curlew, 22 Black-headed Gull, 2 Mediterranean Gull, 25 Common Gull, 55 Jackdaw, 16 Rook, 7 Carrion Crow, 18 Skylark, a Grey Wagtail, 2 White Wagtail, 4 Alba Wagtail, 11 Meadow Pipit, 2 Rock Pipit, 269 Chaffinch, 6 Greenfinch, 16 Linnet, 4 Goldfinch, 5 Siskin, 2 Yellowhammer, 5 Snow Bunting and 9 Reed Bunting, with 41 Oystercatcher out east.

The Long bank area had 6 Whooper Swan, a Red-legged Partridge, 2 Avocet, 100 Lapwing and 2 Black-tailed Godwit, while on the Humber 650 Oystercatcher, 200 Grey Plover, 150 Curlew, 1000 Knot, 7000 Dunlin and 100 Redshank.

In the Long bank area, 10 Whooper Swan, 2 Little Egret, a Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Peregrine, a Merlin and a 'littoralis' Rock Pipit.

Ringing: 2 Great Tit, 2 Chaffinch, 1 Goldfinch.

The Black Brant was present again with around 600 Brent Geese and 2 Pale-bellied Brent, while nearby 18 Whooper Swan with 23 Mute Swan were still present, along with 20 Shoveler, 8 Gadwall, a Pintail, 1 Tufted Duck, 6 Goldeneye, 11 Little Grebe, 5 Mediterranean Gull, a Marsh Harrier, 2 Avocet and a Little Egret with a Woodcock at Sammies.

On the move today were a Common Scoter, 6 Eider, 23 Red-throated Diver, 9 Cormorant, a Common Buzzard, 37 Black-headed Gull, 4 Guilleot, 14 Jackdaw, 2 Rook, a Skylark, 82 Starling, 5 Meadow Pipit, 257 Chaffinch, 2 Greenfinch, a Goldfinch, 2 Siskin, 3 Snow Bunting and 2 Yellowhammer.

There was a bit of movement both over land and sea whci saw 6 Barnacle Geese head north over Kilnsea wetlands and a Red Kite head south. The day also saw 2 Common Scoter, an Eider, 29 Red-throated Diver, 6 Gannet, 3 Cormorant, 2 Rook, 11 Jackdaw, 160 Starling and 4 meadow Pipit.

Other bits to keep the interest going were 10 Shoveler, 600 Wigeon, a Little Egret and Short-eared Owl at Sammies, 2000 Knot on the Humber, a decent total of 10 Stonechat and a Chiffchaff in Easington.

Ringing: 3 Great Tit, 4 Chaffinch, 1 Greenfinch, 1 House Sparrow.

Overcast and chilly with a F4 NE wind.  Watches: 0700-0915.

A similar day to the previous one, but fewer birds on the move and a decline in grounded birds. The Black Brant was again wandering the area with the Pale-bellied Brent and 560 Brent Geese from Chalk bank to Kilnsea wetlands.

The Kilnsea wetlands area still held 26 Mute Swan, 12 Shoveler, 5 Gadwall, 450 Wigeon, 71 Teal, 2 Scaup, 3 Goldeneye, 1 Snipe and 2 Jack Snipe. 

The few birds on the move included 2 Common Scoter, 95 Herring Gull, 3 Auk sp, 6 Jackdaw, 2 Rook, 20 Starling, a Rock Pipit and 2 Chaffinch with hopefully many better days to come.

Ringing: 1 Song Thrush, 2 Blackbird, 2 Great Tit, 2 Greenfinch, 1 Chaffinch, 1 Tree Sparrow.

A fine sunny warm day, clouding over in the afternoon with a F0-1 SW-SE wind.  Watches: 0645-1115.

The Black Brant re-appeared again today along with a Pale-bellied Brent amomg 450 Brent Geese (24 juveniles). A ringtail Hen Harrier was hunting the area around Beacon ponds and a Snow Bunting was at Middle camp. 

On the move today were a Canada Goose, 5 Common Scoter, 45 Jackdaw, 23 Rook, 11 Blue Tit, 8 Great Tit, 20 Skylark, 82 Starling, 6 Alba Wagtail, 9 Meadow Pipit, 4 Rock Pipit, 23 Chaffinch, 8 Greenfinch, 6 Linnet, 1 Siskin and 2 Reed Bunting.

In the Kilnsea wetlands area were 37 Shoveler, 470 Wigeon, 2 Goldeneye, a Short-eared Owl and a Greenshank, 2500 Knot on the Humber, 2 Peregrine at the Point, 12 Stonechat in the area and 23 Pied Wagtail.

Ringing: 1 Song Thrush, 1 Starling, 1 Dunnock, 1 Great Tit, 1 Chaffinch, 5 Greenfinch, 1 Reed Bunting.

A more settled fine sunny day. 

The better weather saw yet more movement, the highlight being the fantastic 2605 Pink-footed Geese which flew north, while also moving were 14 Brent Geese out east, 2 Pintail, a Goldeneye, 23 Red-throated Diver, 8 Cormorant, a Marsh Harrier, 29 Black-headed Gull, 8 Stock Dove, 25 Jackdaw, 16 Rook,19 Skylark, 78 Starling, 2 Alba Wagtail, 4 Meadow Pipit, 3 Rock Pipit, 2 Chaffinch, 12 Greenfinch, 8 Linnet, 3 Goldfinch, 1 Yellowhammer and 5 Reed Bunting.

Our earliest ever spring Firecrest was in Church field with a Goldcrest at Kew, though only 6 Stonechat were recorded today along with a scater of Thrushes.

The Kilnsea wetlands area held all the usuals with 23 Mute Swan, 25 Shoveler, 3 Gadwall, 250 Wigeon, 28 Mallard, 48 Teal, a Tufted Duck, 2 Scaup, 4 Goldeneye, 8 Little Grebe and a Greenshank.

Ringing: 2 Moorhen, 1 Robin, 1 Dunnock, 3 Song Thrush, 5 Great Tit, 7 Chaffinch, 2 Greenfinch, 1 Goldfinch.

A fine sunny day, much calmer but still cool in the F3 W wind.  Watches: 0630-1020.

The better weather saw a good movement south overland and a push of Pink-feet heading back north plus good numbers of Wildfowl remain.

The highlight of the day was a push of 1126 Pink-footed Geese heading north over the sea and Humber. The morning also saw 5 Shoveler, 50 Red-throated Diver, 9 Cormorant, 46 Black-headed Gull, a Common Buzzard, 2 Lapwing, 3 Stock Dove, 28 Jackdaw, 18 Rook, 5 Carrion Crow, 11 Blue Tit, 4 Great Tit, 19 Skylark, 84 Starling, 2 House Sparrow, 1 Tree Sparrow, 5 Alba Wagtail, 1 Meadow Pipit, 3 Rock Pipit, 8 Chaffinch, 1 Bullfinch, 16 Greenfinch, 8 Linnet, 3 Goldfinch, 1 Siskin, 1 Snow Bunting, 4 Yellowhammer and 5 Reed Bunting on the move and while still no big numbers it was a nice selection of species on offer.

A nice Hen Harrier was hunting Easington lagoon, while the immediate area held 25 Shoveler, 5 Gadwall, 450 Wigeon, 2 Scaup, 1 Tufted Duck, 1 Red-breasted Merganser, 4 Goldeneye, 13 Little Grebe, 2 Little Egret and a Short-eared Owl.

Other bits of interest saw a small influx of 12 Stonechat into the area along with 5 Song Thrush and 4 Redwing with a Water Rail in Sykes field.

Ringing: 1 Robin, 1 Dunnock, 5 Great Tit, 1 Tree Sparrow, 1 House Sparrow, 3 Chaffinch, 1 Reed Bunting.

A sunny, but chilly day with some wintry showers in a cold F7-4 SW wind. 

Much the sane as previous windy days with generally little on the move and what there was, was over the the sea. Observers in the sea watch hut had 4 Red-throated Diver, 4 Gannet, 1 Cormorant, 35 Black-headed Gull and 120 Auk sp with only a brave Alba Wagtail and a Rock Pipit noted overland.

The Kilnsea wetlands area held 20 Shoveler, 2 Gadwall, 460 Wigeon, 50 Teal, 1 Tufted Duck, 2 Scaup, 7 Goldeneye and 200 Curlew, while a Tawny Owl was at the east end of Easington.
