Overcast all day with a F5-6 SE wind.
Sea Watches: 0800-1045.
26 White-fronted Geese were still in Well field along with 1 Pink-footed Goose.
On the move over a quiet sea were 2 Eider, 34 Common Scoter, 30 Red-throated Diver, 2 Shag, 3 Kittiwake and 6 Auk sp.
Other bits of interest were 400 Brent Geese with 1 Pale-bellied Brent north of Long Bank, 252 Shelduck Humber, good numbers of wildfowl in the Beacon ponds/Holderness field area with 410 Wigeon, 1 Gadwall, 5 Teal, 2 Shoveler and 7 Goldeneye while 29 Black-tailed Godwit were on the Humber.

Murky all day with a F2-3 S wind.
Sea Watches: 0745-1100.
A reduction in the flock, but still 28 White-fronted Geese were still in Well field along with 12 Greylag Geese.
On the move today were 1 Shelduck, 8 Common Scoter, 154 Red-throated Diver, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 23 Gannet and 9 Auk sp.
Other bits of interest were 32 Black-tailed Godwit Humber and 1 Short-eared Owl at Long Bank

A fine day with rain after dark with a force 1-2 SE wind.
Sea Watches: 0745-1045.
More important work continued today at the Obs and at Kew and a massive thanks to everyone who turned up to help.
Martin Standley has put a lot of time into trying to get a good picture of the resident Welwick Pallid Harrier and today, he got some belters.
The 63 White-fronted Geese were still in Well field along with 49 Greylag Geese.
Over the sea today were 17 Whooper Swan out east, 6 Common Scoter, 1 Goosander, 77 Red-throated Diver, 3 Gannet, 8 Cormorant and 3 Auk sp while overland 1 Meadow Pipit, 1 Jackdaw and a Siskin flew south.
Other bits of interest were 1 Merlin on Clubleys, 19 Black-tailed Godwit Humber and 1 Mediterranean Gull by the Gas Terminal.

A murky day with occasional sunny spells and a cool 2-3 SE wind.
Migration Watches: 0755-1100.
A quietish day was livened up by a fly through of the resident Welwick Pallid Harrier and the 1st Committee meeting of the year was a lively affair.
Having spent virtually all its time up at nearby Welwick, the juvenile Pallid Harrier entered the year list by venturing as far as the Long bank area even being watched from the windows of the Obs, returning towards Skeffling a little while later. The 63 White-fronted Geese were still in Well field and a 1st winter Glaucous Gull was still about today.
Also seen today were 18 Moorhen, 1 Stonechat in the Triangle and 30 Linnet.
Little on the move but 9 Common Scoter, 18 Red-throated Diver, 6 Gannet, 1 Cormorant and 1 Bonxie were seen while after dark, what sounded like a sizeable flock of Pink-footed Geese flew south over the Obs.

Fog most of the day with a cold 3-4 SE wind.
Migration Watches:
A good flock of 60 White-fronted Geese were in Well field while the Black Brant was in a great flock of 880 Brent Geese which also contained 2 Pale-bellied Brent on Kilnsea wetlands. 2 Glaucous Gull were in the area with both 1st and 2nd winters present.
Wildfowl numbers in general were up with a great total of 700 Wigeon on Kilnsea wetland/Holderness field plus 2 Gadwall, 11 Teal, 2 Shoveler, 1 Pochard, 1 Tufted Duck and 6 Goldeneye.
Also seen today were 1 Peregrine, 34 Black-tailed Godwit, 158 Bar-tailed Godwit, 1 Greenshank, 194 Herring Gull south, 1 Mistle Thrush and 16 Linnet.

A cold dull day with fog to late morning and occasional showers with 2-3 SE wind.
Migration Watches:
A quiet day all round with most observers in Beverley for the YWT visitor centre meeting.
The few bits of interest today were 220 Shelduck on the Humber, 24 Black-tailed Godwit and the 1st winter Glaucous Gull.

A cold day with fog returning late afternoon with a force 2-3 S wind.
Sea Watches:
An interesting day for Geese movement with 350 Pink-footed Geese and 90 White-fronted Geese going NW over the area while a 1st winter Glaucous Gull was mobile before settling at Easington boatyard.
Other bits of interest were 500 Brent Geese with 1 Pale-bellied Brent, 538 Wigeon, 10 Teal and 6 Goldeneye all on Kilnsea wetlands, 1 Water Rail at Kew, 11 Black-tailed Godwit and 2 Stock Dove.

Cold with light winds and clear skies.
Sea Watches: 0815-1015.
Quiet over the sea again with only 23 Wigeon, 22 Teal, 1 Shoveler, 3 Common Scoter and 27 Red-throated Diver.
A few bits of interest were 1 Pink-footed Goose, 13 Greylag Geese, 162 Shelduck, 1 Gadwall, 1 Shoveler, 22 Moorhen, 1 Short-eared Owl Long bank, 64 Blackbird in Easington plus 1 Mistle Thrush and 1 Goldcrest at Two Hoots.
