Showers with sunny spells with a cool F6 northerly. Watches: 0645-1710.

It was another great varied day despite numbers being somewhat less spectacular, but totals overall for arrivals and grounded migrants made good reading with 9 Woodcock, 2 Jack Snipe, 6 Snipe, 2 Long-eared Owl, a Short-eared Owl, 167 Starling in/off, 707 Blackbird, 339 Fieldfare, 390 Redwing, 4 Song Thrush, a Mistle Thrush, 1 Stonechat, 8 Chiffchaff, 2 Siberian Chiffchaff, 6 Blackcap, 11 Goldcrest, 50 Brambling, 7 Twite, 82 Siskin and 14 Snow Bunting.

Over the sea the best were 9 Whooper Swan, 19 Pintail, 12 Eider, 3 Goldeneye. a Great Northern Diver, 57 Kittiwake, 5 Little Gull, 4 Great Skua, an Arctic Skua, 3 Little Auk and a Puffin, while overland a Red Kite headed south. Full counts on Trektellen.

There were 2 Caspian Gull on offer at Kilnsea wetlands where 13 Whooper Swan were still present.

Ringing: 57 Blackbird, 1 Redwing, 1 Chiffchaff, 2 Goldcrest, 1 Tree Sparrow, 1 Brambling, 1 Goldfinch.

A day of heavy showers interpersed with sunny spells and a F3 south easterly-F5 north. Watches: 0700-1720.

It was a great day for arrivals off the sea and grounded migrants with finally some good toatls of Fieldfare and Blackbirds, but overall a nice mixed selection of species. Final totals were 34 Woodcock,(26 in/off) 5 Jack Snipe, 22 Snipe in/off, a Long-eared Owl, 2412 Blackbird, 643 Fieldfare, 9504 Redwing, 3 Ring Ouzel, 8 Song Thrush, 4 Mistle Thrush, 532 Starling in/off, a Black Redstart, 6 Chiffchaff, 9 Goldcrest, 231 Chaffinch, 166 Brambling, 225 Siskin, 20 Lesser Reddpoll and a Snow Bunting.

Birds on the move over the sea included 75 Teal, 3 Eider, a Red-breasted Merganser, a Great Northern Diver, 1 Sooty Shearwater, 16 Kittiwake, 3 Great Skua and 47 Arctic Skua, while an Egyptian Goose flew west at Sammy's.

The Kilnsea wetlands area waas again buzzing with life including 23 Whooper Swan, 3 Pintail, a Greenshank, 9 Short-eared Owl and the evening arrival of 1400 Pink-footed Geese among all the totals of the usual species. Full counts on Trektellen.

A bright and sunny day with a F3 south westerly.  Watches: 0640-1200.

It was a nvie varied day of movement over land and sea, a good scatter of grounded migrants and as suaul Kilnsea wetlands had a good selection on offer. The highlight for the vismiggers were 2 Tundra Bean Geese heading south along with 37 Whooper Swan, a Great White Egret north west, 6 Bearded Tit which started at Sykes field and a Lapland Bunting. Also recorded were a Harrier sp, 35 Stock Dove, 610 Wood Pigeon, 14 Jackdaw, 40 Rook, 184 Skylark, 5 Swallow, 25 House Sparrow, 110 Tree Sparrow, 3 Grey Wagtail, 2 Alba Wagtail, 26 Meadow Pipit, 3 Rock Pipit, 23 Chaffinch, 13 Brambling, a Bullfinch, 2 Greenfinch, 12 Lesser Redpoll, 297 Siskin, 7 Snow Bunting and 15 Reed Bunting.

It was a better day searching for grounded migrants with 6 Woodcock, 2 Jack Snipe, a Jay, 1 Coal Tit, 2 House Martin, 10 Chiffchaff, 3 Blackcap, 13 Goldcrest, 130 Blackbird, 4 Fieldfare, 63 Redwing, 11 Song Thrush, a Mistle Thrush, 14 Robin, 5 Black Redstart, 15 Stonechat, a Wheatear, 2 Grey Wagtail, 83 Chaffinch, 17 Brambling, 20 Lesser Redpoll, 51 Siskin and 12 Reed Bunting.

The best of the Kilnsea wetlands area were an Egyptian Goose which then wandered the area, 1400 Pink-footed Geese, 22 Whooper Swan, 10 Pintail, 70 Black-tailed Godwit and 2 Spotted Redshank, while 5 Short-eared Owl hunted around Beacon ponds. Along the peninsula a Purple Sandpiper was at the Narrows and 2 Pale-bellied Brent were present among the Brent flock.

A blustery day afternoon rain and a F6 south westerly. Watches: 0645-1230.

It was another good varied day with grounded migrants, a busy Kilnsea wetlands and birds heading south. On the migrant front the best was a late Willow Warbler on Beacon lane, the Water Pipit again at the Warren, 2 Black Redstart in Kilnsea, a Ring Ouzel and 5 Snow Bunting. Further totals were 2 Chiffchaff, 10 Goldcrest, 42 Blackbird, a Fieldfare, 15 Redwing, 2 Song Thrush, a Stonechat, 5 Meadow Pipit, 2 Rock Pipit, 39 Chaffinch, 6 Brambling, a Lesser Redpoll and 22 Siskin.

The vismiggers had a decent morning despite the weather with a nice grey male Hen Harrier and another 582 Siskin heading south, along with 12 Skylark, a Swallow, 135 Starling, 4 Meadow Pipit, 10 Rock Pipit, 26 Chaffinch, 6 Brambling, 66 Linnet, 35 Goldfinch and 5 Reed Bunting, while the sea was quiet the best being 2 Eider, 2 Goldeneye and a Great Crested Grebe. 

The highlight s from the Kilnsea wetlands area included 500 Pink-footed Geese, 24 Whooper Swan, a Tufted Duck, 2 Marsh Harrier, 2 Spotted Redshank, 2 Mediterranean Gull and a Caspian Gull, while on the Humber 91 Cormorant were at the Point ad 2 Pale-bellied Brent were among the 300 Dark-bellied Brents present. 

Ringing: 3 Blackbird, 21 Chaffinch, 1 Greenfinch, 2 Goldfinch, 1 Siskin.

A wet windy day with late sunny spells driven by a horrible F9 south westerly.  Watches: 0640-1010.

The besty of day were a Water Pipit on Clubleys, 1 Black Redstart in Kilnsea, a Twite at Sand beaches and 5 Snow Bunting. It was diffcult looking for migrants, but a few bits were recorded with a Woodcock, 2 Jack Snipe, 4 Chiffchaff, 3 Goldcrest, a Coal Tit, 50 Blackbird, 17 Redwing, 6 Song Thrush, 5 Stonechat, a Wheatear, 71 Chaffinch and a Brambling.

Considering the weather there was some movement the best being 3 Tufted Duck, 2 Eider, a Common Tern, 2 Arctic Skua, 43 Skylark, 2 Rock Pipit, 50 Linnet, 15 Goldfinch and 162 Siskin. Full counts on Trektellen.

Recorded elsewhere were 23 Whooper Swan on Easington straight, a Pale-bellied Brent on the Humber and a Spotted Redshank on Kilnsea wetlands.

Heavy rain gave way to sunny spells, driven by a F5 south westerly. Watches: 0700-1215.

It was a good day for birds on the move, the vismiggers at Numpties having a particular good morning with a record 1728 Siskin counted along with a Sparrowhawk, 1 Marsh Harrier, 6 Lapwing in/off, 11 Snipe in/off, 21 Skylark, 1586 Starling (1130 in/off), 13 Blackbird in/off, 50 Redwing, 3 Song Thrush, 28 Rock Pipit, 27 Chaffinch, 5 Brambling, a Twite, 100 Linnet, 25 Redpoll and 101 Goldfinch. Over the sea were 376 Wigeon, 6 Pintail, 349 Teal, 6 Pochard, 21 Tufted Duck, 6 Eider, 4 Goldeneye, a Goosander, 4 Great Northern Diver, 284 Dunlin and 3 Little Gull. Full counts on Trektellen.

Grounded migrants were well represneted with 2 Woodcock, 6 Chiffchaff, a Blackcap, 15 Goldcrest, 4000 Starling, 49 Blackbird, 33 Redwing, 12 Song Thrush, 2 Black Redstart, 12 Stonechat, 3 Grey Wagtail, 184 Chaffinch, 5 Brambling, 4 Twite, 3 Lesser Redpoll and 3 Snow Bunting.

The Kilnsea wetlands area as usual didn't disappoint with a Pale-bellied Brent, 920 Pink-footed Geese, 32 Whooper Swan, 9 Pintail, 2 Tufted Duck, 76 Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Spotted Redshank, 13 Mediterranean Gull and a Caspian Gull.

Coudy with drizzle and a F6 south westerly.  Watches: 0700-1720.

There was an increase in grounded migrants and arrivals from the sea, with 58 Lapwing, 2 Woodcock, 15 Snipe, 31 Skylark, 1489 Starling, 4 Redwing, 60 Chaffinch and 8 Brambling in/off, while grounded birds included a Woodcock, a Swift sp, 2 Chiffchaff, 2 Blackcap, 4 Goldcrest, 500 Starling, 39 Redwing, 29 Song Thrush, 2 Black Redstart, 6 Stonechat, 91 Chaffinch, 22 Brambling and 28 Siskin.

On the move were 327 Wigeon, 115 Teal, 18 Eider, 3 Velvet Scoter, 92 Common Scoter, 2 Goosander, 3 Red-breasted Merganser, a Shag, 30 Bar-tailed Godwit, 229 Dunlin, a Grey Phalarope, 1 Greenshank, a Sandwich Tern, 3 Swallow, 54 Redwing, 10 Rock Pipit, 89 Chaffinch, 3 Twite and 111 Siskin. Elsewhere it was much the same with the 1400 Pink-footed Geese, 23 Whooper Swan, Pale-bellied Brent and Spotted Redshank all present, but 2 Scaup on Kilnsea wetlands were new.

Sunny spells with a strong F6 south westerly.  Watches: 0700-1130.

There were yet again few migrants on the ground in the area, a Woodcock, 2 Chiffchaff, a Blackcap, 9 Goldcrest, 30 Blackbird, a Fieldfare, 39 Redwing, 7 Song Thrush, 2 Mistle Thrush, 10 Stonechat, 2 Brambling and a Twite at Sandy beaches plus a Cetti's Warbler at the Point..

The best of birds on the move today were 4 Eider, 7 Little Gull, 200 Wood Pigeon, 3 Jay, 20 Skylark, 3 Swallow, 13 House Sparrow, a Water Pipit, 19 Rock Pipit, a Twite, 80 Linnet, 99 Goldfinch, 223 Siskin and 16 Reed Bunting. Full details on Trektellen.

Otherwise 1460 Pink-footed Geese rosted at Kilnsea wetlands along with a Pale-bellied Brent and 170 Brent Geese, 498 Wigeon, a Spotted Redshank and 1 Greenshank with 23 Whooper Swan nearby on Easington straight.

A blustery day with a F7 south westerly.  Watches: 0705-1430.

It was another day of little happening on the birding front, as we seem to be slipping into winter. Hopefully some new arrivals will happen soon, but in the meantime the few migrants seen included just 2 Chiffchaff, 6 Goldcrest, 1500 Starling, 54 Blackbird, 24 Redwing, 2 Song Thrush, 8 Stonechat, 9 Pied Wagtail, a Twite and 2 Snow Bunting.

The best of movement were 6 Whooper Swan, 5 Eider, 2 Goosander, 2 Red-breasted Merganser, 2 Little Gull, a Swallow, 30 Tree Sparrow, a Water Pipit, 31 Rock Pipit, 3 Brambling, 67 Linnet, 54 Goldfinch and 560 Siskin.

Other bits of note were 1200 Pink-footed Geese, 21 Whooper Swan, 82 Black-tailed godwit, 2 Spotted Redshank and a Caspian Gull on Kilnsea wetlands and 152 Brent Geese on the Humber.

Ringing: 4 Blackbird, 1 Song Thrush, 1 Redwing, 3 Tree Sparrow, 1 Chaffinch.

A cloudy day with drizzle and a F5-6 south westerly.  Watches: 0650-1015.

It was one of those there was a bit of everthing, but not much of anything. The best of the day were 5 Twite at Sandy beaches showing well plus 4 more south at the Warren, a Lapland Bunting and Snow Bunting by the Gas terminal and the Black-throated Diver flying north over the sea.
